Living in the Villages changes lots of patterns in our lives. I think we will find the wide variety of the answers very interesting.

What time do you go to bed? :icon_bored:

What time do you get up in the morning? :mornincoffee:

Usually go to bed right after the news and weather, about 1115-1130. (That is when the Mrs wakes me up to go to bed.)

Get up at 600 +/-.

11-midnight/ 7-7:30. Earlier for an early tee time. For us, about the same in ATL and in TV.

Bed around 11, awake around 7 to 7:30, but reading the paper in bed means we actually get out of bed between 8:30 and 9 (unless we have an early tee time or there's a wonderful sale somewhere, anywhere... ;) )

Took quite a while to adjust to NOT having to be up before the sun.... :mornincoffee: and now I truly understand how much my parents enjoyed not setting their alarm clock.

Bed between 10 and 11, up between 4 and 5. While I catch up on the news and sports on the Net, I tune in to ESPN at 5, the Golf Channel at 6 and finally head to MVP (The gym) between 7 - 8.

I generally get to bed later than I did in my previous life; usually near Midnight. I then luxuriate by sleeping in 'till about 8 AM. After 40+ years of my alarm going off before 5 AM this is my reward.

I usually go to bed around 11:30 p.m. Sometimes it can be 2:00 AM if I'm involved in a great book on my Kindle that I can't put down.

My natural body wake up time is 9:00 a.m. I just retired in June and no longer have to listen to that darn alarm clock go off at 5:45 a.m.

Meanwhile my husband goes to bed around 9:30 to 10:30 p.m. and Max (our dog) diligently gets him up around 7:00 a.m. for his morning walk. Well actually Max licks my face and wakes me up and then I wake up Hubby. LOL

Everyone is so structured about bedtimes, good for you! A regular sleep schedule is supposed to be very important in obtaining a good night's sleep.

Sadly, I am like teachnmo above, sometimes I read until 2 AM. I go to sleep when I have nothing interesting left to do. I have terrible sleep patterns and I often have difficulty getting enough sleep. :mornincoffee: And deservedly so! But I'm not complaining.

After working for 40+ years, it is such a pleasure to not be on a routine!:pepper2:

For some reason I need very little sleep. So to bed around 11 and up around 5. And am usually reading for an hour of that time.

I'd really like to see KathieI's answer to this question. I don't know where she gets her energy from, so I'm curious to see how many hours of sleep she gets most nights (or days).

(Whoops, just read your post ssmith ... we think alike.)

I still live in Missouri, and go to bed at 10 pm - watch the news in bed, turn off the tv @ 10:30 and get up between 6 and 6:30 am.
I wonder how many of you that came from the midwest, where primetime tv is from 7-10 pm and news @ 10, had trouble adjusting to eastern time, where the primetime is 8-11? I know when I had to stay in New York for two weeks at a time on 3 or 4 occaisions, it threw me off a bit. Seems like easterners (new yorkers are my main observation) get started a bit later in the morning. I can barely stay awake for the end of Monday nite football as it is!!! If MNF ended after midnight I'd be out.

Ed, I'm from the Westwest, and the news is on at 10 there, too. I still have trouble staying up late enough for the late news here. I do the 3C's (coffee, cats, computer) during the commercials, and then Mr. Judy wakes me up and tells me it's bedtime.

Oldcoach:

It took me several weeks to adjust to the late news not even starting until 11:00! Now, I'm likely to miss half/most of it 'cause I've fallen asleep in the chair!

When most primetime shows are in reruns (summer, of course), I'm glad to have the Fox News at 10. Not that it's ever worth watching, of course!

I'm usually in bed by 11:30-11:45, up between 6:00-6:30.
