I have an aluminum pergola that has mechanical louvers meant and close. The motors were solar powered and used a remote to operate. The motor has died and I can't find a replcement.
I am looking for advice on where to find someone who has the ability to rig a new opener and closer. It doesn't have to be electric. In fact, I think a manual operation would be more reliable. An electrician who looked at it had no good suggestions.
Any suggestions would be appreciated..

Depends on the pergola size and your budget. If you wanted to spend $$$, I'd guess you'd just get the motor fixed. Here's one alternative. Good luck.

I love a good challenge, if you are interested I could look at it. If you send me a PM we can swap pictures and ideas. I tend to be very good at fixing mechanical and electrical devices.
