Golf Buddy Voice Battery Replacement

I originally bought my Golf Buddy at one of the Golf Shops in T.V.
It has stopped working and indications are I need a new battery.
Went to several of T.V. golf shops and was told they no longer sell that Golf Buddy,
and could/would not replace the battery. It is the "Golf Buddy Voice that clips on".
Any one know of were to get a new battery or if it can be self installed; type and where
to get it. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Don't know for certain, but you might want to check with Batteries and Bulbs. They're located next to the Starbucks in that shopping center off Rolling Acres where Best Buy is. Unfortunately, some golf distance devices cannot have their batteries replaced. The manufacturer wants you to buy a new one. "Engineered Obsolescence."

Oh good grief! It seems like rocket science, but it is not. Google your device (exactly)and at the end put "manual"(without the " marks). That will tell you how to change the battery. If you can not do this message me the device name, number whatever and I'll be happy to do it for you and explain the process. It truly isn't brain surgery...no insult intended.

I had the same issue. From what I remember amazon had a kit with a tool to take off the cover and the battery was about $30 and a new one was on sale for $75. I bought a new one. Mine is a golf buddy voice 2

You can buy a battery for $14.95 on Amazon and install it after watching a “how to” video on YouTube.

A few years ago I had one and the battery wouldn’t last a full round so I called Golf Buddy and they said the battery was not replaceable, but they gave me a discount on a new one.

I had one also. Call customer support they let me mail to them and they replaced for free

Golf buddy battery replacement. … I have replaced the golf buddy battery that you refer to. I bought a kit on Amazon that comes with a special plastic tool to help separate the case. You need the tool to get the case open. It’s a tedious job but not hard to do.

Check out NewPower99.com. They sell batteries and also have a video with specific instructions for DIY replacement of the battery.

I just did it a week ago. I ordered it on Amazon, and the one I ordered has the tool to get GPS apart. I first found it on u tube, and they had a number of vidios how to replace.

Remove the back, get the number off the dead battery and you can probable get it at Walgreens

I seriously doubt that you’ll be able to get that battery at Walgreens.....
