View Full Version : Does anyone know what happened?
Came in through the gate at La Zamora this afternoon, sometime around 2 and when we approached houses on the right side of Chula Vista Ave, across from Amarillo Pl, (at least I think that's where it was) there was a fire engine, a police car, a fire rescue truck. A few people were standing around watching. We continued on, but I wondered what might have happened. Having a police car there, along with the fire department isn't what one normally sees when fire personnel show up.

Probably a medical call.
Probably a medical call.
Could have been, but in Sumter County, I've not noticed a sheriff show up with the fire engines. Hope everyone and everything is okay.

Page A6 of today's paper....
Someone was found dead in that home.... home sealed up tight, car engine running. Police were there as part of the investigation.
You were right, Pooh... it was not a standard medical call.

Sounds like a suicide?? I thought papers by policy did not report these as to not encourage people with mental health problems from harming themselves.

Maybe we could all send prayers/thoughts of peace religious on non-religious to everyone involved -- family, friends, and first responders.

Unless the woman forgot to shut off her car when she came into the house. Probably not, but I guess it could happen.

Good thoughts, prayers are sent up for all involved.
