After over 170 million doses and proven to be the safest vaccines in history, full FDA approval has been requested.

Only a matter of time before the anti-vaxxers chime in and ignore the science.

Safe?...VAERS - Data Sets (https://vaers.hhs.gov/data/datasets.html)

Take a look at the (VAERS DATA) for 2021 so far...this is a passive data set so it is under reported not to mention only a few months into 2021......FDA needs more time before approving and if they do, they will be added to the list of those not to be trusted.

Are you saying that you personally have concluded that the vaccine is unsafe and therefore if the FDA approves it then the FDA cannot be trusted?

Has anyone seen a package insert for any of the vaccines with a list of ingredients?

Pfizer has my approval, who cares what the FDA says. It is very liberating to be vaccinated and get life back to the new normal, with no negative side effects. Looking forward to the booster shot sometime later this year to re-up the immunity and address the variants. I can’t even comprehend why someone would opt not to get vaccinated? Darwin’s theory comes to mind.

Have you ever seen any vaccine at all with a list of ingredients?

Of course not.

What a silly question.

Of course, when you're lying on your deathbed because you were unvaccinated and caught Covid, you probably won't care. Hindsight is 20/20 ....

Kind of redundant to get FDA approval AFTER it's been distributed. Not quite sure if this fits, BUT it's kind of like letting the horses out of the barn AFTER it burned down. Or better, maybe getting approval for a seat belt AFTER an accident where it saved someone's life.

There are lots of reasons that folks will give for NOT getting vaccinated. I do not believe in FORCING someone to get a vaccination, especially this one. The flu vaccination has been around for a long time, changing every year and I won't get it. Never had the flu. It's my choice, good or bad and I have to live or die with that choice. I respect other folks personal choice in this matter and understand their fears.

I did get my vaccination for Covid, months ago. My choice, my gamble that the gov has not gotten this thing wrong. Kind of flipping a coin with life and death. I didn't do it out of fear, but reasoning that it was the best thing I could do for my spouse. I firmly believe that Covid would be deadly if she was infected.

Lets not shame those that make a free and personal decision not to get their covid vaccination. Personally, I have thoughts about those that still wear their masks after being vaccinated, but I won't ridicule them. There is no such thing as being too safe. Just don't force your choice upon others.

I am hoping that once these vaccines receive full FDA approval, many of the people who have been reluctant to get vaccinated, will feel more comfortable with the vaccines and get themselves vaccinated.

I still wear a mask in public indoor buildings but it is not to protect me. My mask wearing was NEVER to protect me, it was to protect others. I'm waiting for the CDC to tell us when we can take off our masks. I believe that time will be when herd immunity is reached. Hope it doesn't take too much longer.

Watched the Walker Cup golf this afternoon from Florida.
Not a mask in sight.
Why would you still bother?
I know I only wear one when it is part of the admission requirements to anywhere I shop.

Hmm, does this "herd immunity" sound a bit like a bunch of lemmings in a stampede? No offense meant, just wondering. Are we waiting for the CDC to give us their "EXPERT" advice, or do we reason with existing stats and facts and make or own decisions when we might feel safe or not?
Question really is: do we feel confident in the vaccination? Or like one famous quote goes "do you feel lucky, *****?"
The point seems to be that the CDC is always late with their opinions. And I do not blame them, because they have to err on the side of safety for the masses. BUT really, how long is too long? Does one wear a safety belt in a parked car? Does one carry an open umbrella inside one's home? Does a COP wear a bullet proof vest to bed? None of these hurt, but is it reasonable or logical?
I find it ironic and somewhat satiric that folks insist everyone get the vaccination and then act as if they do not trust the vaccination to protect them. Is that how you convince others to follow you? Rhetoric question, not requiring an answer.

I agree but the bureaucracy must be served with all i's dotted and all t's crossed. Amazing that anything gets done with no common sense in play.

Vaers is a site that allows anybody to report anything. It is anecdotal at best. It is nothing proven, it is not even necessarily factual. You can post to them that you are a 37-year-old man who gave birth to an elephant after the vaccine and it will be reported stop trying to create fear with the fake news. Get your vaccine

Your vaccination card proves that you were in the first test group and the second test group.

I so agree with you! I feel like I have my freedom back.
I don’t understand how people can be so ignorant about getting vaccinated. I won’t have any pity for them if they come down with the virus because they refuse to believe in science.
