Pavers look nice for a driveway. For people who have them, are you glad you did it? Any suggestions you would do different.

Yes, they look nice until the weeds and grass start growing between the cracks. And with me up north- they are impossible to shovel. Sorry I went the paver route.

I had to raise the shoes on my snowblower to clear them. I'll let you use it when I get down there.

Don't think we will need snow blowers in Florida. But from what I hear- Last winter was cold.

Different? Yes, I would not get pavers! We did the large driveway and the lanaii. Weed grow between them. Powerwashing is not a good idea as the sand blows all over.

Our pavers are about 3.5 years old now. Would I do it again?? Probably, but they do come with ongoing costs and other concerns.

We haven't had any problem with weeds growing. They do have to be sealed every couple of years and the sand between them freshened up once a year. My biggest surprise is that they are not as sturdy as I would have thought. Individual pavers can crack and if someone (probably not you) drives too close to the cemented edges, they can break off. Also, if someone parks in your driveway with leaky fluids, the pavers seem to stain and absorb more than plain concrete.

But, having said that, I rode my bike through a six year old neighborhood the other day and noticed how much some of the painted driveways have faded. So, each solution has its plusses and minuses. Pavers are initially pretty costly. Overall, i do prefer the look of pavers to plain concrete or painted driveways.
