I have seen a full sized sedan coming out of the rec trail tunnel beside Colony Cottage as I was heading toward the tunnel in a golf cart. Another time in a golf cart on the rec trail coming from Colony heading toward Odell circle there was a car heading straight at me . The gate attendant at Odell and Morse had seen it too and we managed to stop the gentleman. I was trying to get him to go back the way he came but he hopped the curb straight to Morse Blvd. However the most bizarre thing I have seen here in my 17 years was a guy on a two wheel bicycle on Buena Vista near Palmer pulling a 10-12 foot kayak on a trailer. I forgot to add a couple years ago I experienced a car going clockwise in the roundabout on Morse by HavanaCC. They made it through unscathed

The guy on the bike pulling a kayak. I've not seen that but I guess he does that regularly.
a typical trailer would be two wheels and a hitch to attach to a car. The other type would be for a light boat a kayak or canoe to move it from the back of a pickup or on top of a car to wheel it to the water. I can't imagine either working well with a bike.
Mine is not even competitive. I have seen a guy tow a small boat with his golf car and just yesterday a."professional landscaper," towing their typical trailer loaded with equipment with a golf cart. UPS delivering off a kind of disneyland mini cart train.
I've asked the drivers what they did wrong to get this route. They are either had of hearing or sworn not to reply.

On this past new years eve, I saw an elderly female being driven by a chauffeur inside a brand new silver Rolls-Royce Phantom. The Rolls-Royce stopped and parked at the Neighborhood Walmart on Morse and the elderly female went inside the store. Funny how someone can drop over $400K on a car, but still shop at the local Walmart in order to save a few bucks.

How about in December 2019 the UPS guy towing the mini cart train who had my Yamaha very expensive new arranger/musical keyboard on back of the trailer. It fell off the cart, he never even knew it. It fell off on a street located about half a mile from my home. If it weren't for a retired UPS/good samaritan who took the time to look me up who knows what would have happened to the keyboard.

I’m guilty of a crazy roundabout move. When we first moved here, I was in a bypass lane that skipped where I wanted to turn. I turned into the next break in the road thinking I could right the ship and found myself going the wrong way. Thank God traffic was light and people stopped to let me get resituated. I was quite embarrassed, and every time I hear or see of this happening, I no longer laugh or shake my head at the stupidity! Rather than thinking someone drunk, I think they must be a newbie.

Newer Mustang south of 44, making a left at a traffic circle which put him on a divided road the wrong way. He then turned left into a church. Another time going south on Powell road, also divided near the entrance of Publix at 44, a huge older sedan was in my lane coming right at me, to avoid a head on collision I swung into the right lane, she went by me and hopefully went right at the circle.

Just a few weeks ago, south of 44 near Corbin Trail. A younger girl, maybe 16, was driving a 4 seater golf cart with another girl in the back. A boy who was about 8 was sitting in the drivers lap and steering. So dangerous.
I routinely see golf carts on the wrong side of the path or cutting corners. I also routinely see carts blow through yield signs at MMP roundabouts without looking left. Finally, there are carts in such a rush that they go the wrong way on MMP roundabouts to get ahead of someone. Drive defensively is the only way to survive here. Whatever stupid thing you can think of may be done by the cart approaching you.

The most ignorant thing I've seen in The Villages is when the Developer used to have buffalo where the care center next to Freedom Pointe is now. That used to be a nice open field and fenced in and they had buffalo roaming there. Many times they would be next to the fence and you could stop in your golf cart and just watch them . . . .
UNTIL some stupid, ignorant Villager lifted his granddaughter up onto the back of one of those buffalo to get a picture. Luckily the little girl was okay but because of his stupidity and possible liability, the buffalo were taken away.

The craziest thing that I saw happened about 3 years ago. I watched 2 Village maintenance workers in an open vehicle sitting in the 2 front seats and a machine in the back that sprayed out vaporized insect killer. Neither of these workers (probably illegal) had on ANY MASK, face shield, or other lung-protective device . Apparently, no supervisor cared about ANY OSHA regulations at all. Someday these 2 and others like them will be lined up awaiting health care treatments in hospitals at taxpayer expense. I thought of the US as a country and TV Land as being "pennywise and pound foolish".
Almost every day I see my neighbors lawn maintenance people smoking cigarettes and riding loud mowers and NEVER wearing any ear defenders or eye protection. And I again think of hospitals and taxpayers paying the bills. Do we in TV Land (where we are supposed to have intelligence) bear any responsibility for this "craziness"? Are we REALLY as sophisticated as we pretend to be?
