Has anyone received one of those us postal flat rate priority boxes? The kind that you pay $13.99 for large box up to 70 lbs??
Question is this..are they delivered to our mail boxes or are they too big and delivered to the home.. My concern is if I mail one they may leave a notice in the mail box to pick up the package at the post office.
If anyone has any experience with this, I would appreciate your input..

you will get a key in your mailbox that goes to a big box on the other side of the PO boxes. That's where it will be.

I received a really large package last week and they delivered it to my home.

I have received one of those paper ream boxes in my mailbox (well, the larger one on the other side). It really didn't fit and took me and two other people to get it out. I was not a happy camper. Unless a box is too large or too heavy, the carriers are now supposed to deliver them to your home and leave them on your porch. If a signature is required or the box is too heavy or large, it goes to the Lady Lake Main Post Office.

Package size is a real problem at our mail facility. Like others, the opening inside is slightly larger than the outside opening. When a box just barely fits into the inside opening, it is nearly impossible to get it out from the outside. Several times we have had to assist my mom getting a package out. One time we had to actually cut the box open to remove the contents and then remove what was left of the box. One time I was out of the area and she called because she couldn't get a box out, so I told her to push it back inside because you can't relock the door to the parcel boxes.

I, too, thought they were supposed to deliver large parcels, but it doesn't apparently apply if they can jam it into the opening at the facility.:evil6:
