I live in a courtyard villa north of 466. It has the three edged beds near the entry. At this time they are all rock. I am going to remove the rock and need suggestions for what would be a good ground cover for the areas.

I have researched ground covers and have a few in mind, but would like to know if anyone knows of a fast low green ground cover.

English Ivy
Trailing Periwinkle (Vinca Minor)
Asiatic Jasmine
These are a few I have found, but would prefer recommendations from someone who actually knows about the best.

The beds do not get full sun.

TIA

If that change is permitted by the Architectural Review Board, maybe it has suggestions re plantings.

Thanks, it has been approved.

Since you asked, I prefer GRASS. Zoysia or St.Augustine. There is a picture on the online news of a "Florida Friendly" yard and it looks like sh*t. I know some look better but what is wrong with grass??????????????????? We DO have enough water. It rains and then evaporates and then it rains again. We are not wasting water with the use of irrigation ponds, and the cost to cut a lawn is cheaper than any place in the U.S.

Please think about GRASS.

I have asiatic jasmine and love it. It is in part shade. It’s planted by The Villages here and there, around trees.

Sigh. I love grass in yards. I do. I do not love Florida Friendly yards. I don't.
