Do they have trips leaving from TV by bus, if so, how does one find out what some of the trips are?

Try the AAA office in La Grande Plaza (SS) unless there is one in LSL. They have lots of trips.

You can also check the Recreation News insert in the Daily Sun. The last couple of pages will often list bus trips sponsored by groups in TV.

And there seems to be an ad almost every day in the Daily Sunfor a variety of day trips. Often in the Lifestyles section ("D").

LSL stands for Lake Sumter Landing. When someone says, "SS," that is Spanish Springs or Spanish Springs Town Square. Those are the two main squares in TV (The Villages). It takes awhile and I'm still figuring some of the abbreviations out.

Some of the trips out of AAA are very good. Give them a try.

When we took one of the bus tours there in The Villages...the speaker mentioned that she was part of a club that did trips to learn about Florida. She reasoned that since they were not from Florida that they learned a lot about the State both Historical and recreational.

Yes, there are a few companies who run bus trips from TV: AAA, Vivo Tours &. Legendary Journey. L.J. & AAA do a lot of "performance based" trips. That is, if you want to see a singer, broadway show, etc. you might want to take a look at what they offer. Vivo does mostly location-based day trips & tours. They find places to visit and unique things about these areas - you learn a lot about where you're going and have an interactive experience on their tours so they are more education-based venues. Either way there is a good deal to choose from; you're not locked in to one company at least. Good luck and happy travels!
