Has anyone checked their taxes on line? Checked mine in Marion county and found out that the payment to the Districts had gone up 33% since i paid off my bond. To confirm that I checked every year back to 2002 , the payment basically the same for 20 years and TV finds a way to keep getting their $$$ .
Was told by the county that is what they do when you pay off your bond is raise the fee to the district

I think you were misled. The bond payments are collected by the county on your tax bill, but they don't go to the county. They go to the bank that holds the loan. The bond and real estate taxes are two separate things. The county doesn't care whether you pay off the bond in a lump sum or over 30 years.

You are in CDD 4, the only villages district in Marion County. Your maintenance fee went way up because of the expenses inured by the district for the repairs of the sinkhole debacle.

Don't forget that they've had to put money aside in reserves for road upkeep. CDD4 is responsible for all road maintenance in their district except Buena Vista and I think Legacy Lane.

This is unlike the rest of the CDDs north of SR44 where the county is responsible for all the roads except the Villa roads. South of SR44 the City of Wildwood is responsible for the roads including the Villa roads.

Let’s hope that Wildwood is yearly putting aside tax money for roads they maintain. Residents south of 44 would not want a sudden increase of 25% or more in taxes. Since these homes are in the city of Wildwood, I would assume residents in TV are eligible to run for Council and/or at least attend Council meetings,

Wildwood had a surplus the last fiscal period and they should with all the new homes down here paying taxes along with the various grants they receive for projects. I just wish they would clean up their intersections, a lot of track on the roadways at a lot of the intersections within Wildwood. Maybe one of the commissioners will read this and get a cleaning crew out once in awhile.
