I am curious, does anybody know (1) How many people play softball in TV? (2) How many softball teams there are in TV? (3) How many games are played each year in TV? I know there are over 400 volunteers and 9 fields.

There are over 200 teams on record and 9 softball fields according to TV's website.

I got a number from VHA website(??) maybe. In 2008, there were 10,000 games played at TV. Then I heard( or read) the same number in the happy paper.

Page 29 of the latest TV magazine says 526 softball teams in 2009:

Found it. Page 3, " The Villages is not only the world’s largest retirement community (about 80,000). It is the world’s largest golf community (486 holes), largest golf-cart community (about 45,000), largest softball program (525 teams playing over 5,200 games in three seasons per year), largest pickleball program (102 courts), busiest bowling alleys, busiest movie theaters, and most clubs and activities available to its residents (over 1,600)..."

Who knew this was going to be about softball? I figured it was just going to be an easy question.

I wonder why TV's website gives a different number than the other source.
