We live n Mira Mesa and today our water pressure is way down. I tried calling the utility company but line is always busy. Is anyone else having trouble with their pressure?

Sometimes in my area early in morning water pressure low due to all irrigation systems running. But, still has some pressure. You didn’t comment on how low ? Trickle or just lower than normal?

Don't panic, it is just a big pipe rupture at Delmar and Ventura

If you live in that area boil your water before drinking for a few days just to be safe.

Get a pressure gauge put it on the outside hose connection make sure no one in your home is using any water water turn the hose cock on then write the pressure down that is register on the gauge. Next open a faucet in your home write what the pressure when the water is running that will tell you if you if you have water volume problems. Go into The Home Depot to get the sprinkler and water test gauge they sell it.

Irrigation water isn’t the same water that we drink from our faucets, that’s what they talking about. Irrigation water is potable water, you don’t drink or get it from your kitchen sink.

We’re in Mira Mesa as well and had the same problem yesterday morning. We got through to the water company who said it was a temporary problem and would be resolved quickly. It was fixed in an hour.

Some areas north of 466 do not have separate systems for potable and irrigation

Potable water is drinkable. Irrigation water is non-potable.

Really, never ever heard that! We lived north of 466A & we had separate potable & drinking water, in The Village of Charlotte. They must of changed it back 8 yrs. ago when we lived there! Interesting information, thanks.
