Glenview..............great shape, some of the best greens.

Evans Prairie.................really good shape. Spots on a few greens getting worked on.

Havana................has really come back from all the horror stores, good to go.

Belle Glade..........consistently in good shape.

Bonifay.............no issues noted.

All of the above were played in the last week to ten days.

Cane Garden played two weeks ago................good good shape.

Or you could look down the page of forum titles and just look at the Course Conditions forums(they break it down separating championship and exec).

Opinions? On TOTV? Nah, never! ;)

1: They all suck! The course managers should be fired! For what I pay (basically nothing) they should be pristine!

2: They're fine. We just went thru the busy season, wait till the growing season starts and, just like every year, they'll bounce back...

3: What's golf? ;)

Glad to read your report on Havana. One of my favorite layouts, but was terrible when I played it the last couple of years.

Played Talley Ho this week. These were the best conditions I’ve seen in years. Fairways and tee boxes were like carpets. Fairways had lots of grass and the greens were impeccable. I was told that when it was closed, a new type of grass was used. I would like to see other courses do the same.

I would stay away from Tierra del Sol for at least another week. Played there last Tuesday and the greens had been aerified, sanded and were nothing but bumps. Fairways also were threadbare.

Played Lopez and Tiera del Sol and they were both in great shape, especially the greens, however I do have an issue with the greenside sand traps on both of those courses and also on a few at Havana and Cane Garden. I know, you are supposed to AVOID the sand, but some people use balls that are “sand magnets”. Anyway, several of the traps had sand that was so thin, there was no getting under the balls without taking a “mud” divot.

Just played Havana, Kilaminjaro to Kenya. In decent shape. Kenya has recovered well. Our groups played different championship ship courses two times a week.
All of them have some distressed areas, typical of the dry season impact, but in decent shape. Will be playing Belle Glade tomorrow. Fairways there are usually the worst of the Villages until the rainy season, same for Bonifay. During the winter, we jokenly refer to the rough as the 'smooth". Tight lies are to be expected on just about every course.

Played Glenview a few weeks ago. Tally Ho and Fox Run greens were in great shape. Fairways nicely cut. Hell of a difference in the way the exec's are cared for.

Got here last week for a three week stay, between lots of housework I am planning on playing each of the twelve Championship courses, and am planning the order so that I stay out in front of the aerification schedule. During the last three days played Hacienda, Orange, and Lopez, and playing Belle today. That covers the first four courses on the schedule to get the greens punched starting tomorrow. My observations so far are as follows. Courses are generally in very good condition, but very firm and need some rain. Some brown spots on fairways but greens and T boxes in very good shape. A low draw off the T will run out seemingly forever. The greens are in good shape but very firm, it is difficult to find your ball mark on them. Until tomorrow (the first day of June when slow season rates starts), all of my rounds will be played as soon as I can get out after the afternoon wave, when I can play unlimited golf for half price. It appears very few people are playing the afternoon wave, at full winter rates during the summer heat around the Memorial Day weekend. Getting a T time by 3:00 each day has not been an issue, and I have been playing 3 hour rounds. Looking at the schedule, starting tomorrow the afternoon wave gets much busier. I have not yet played Glenview, Palmer, or Tierra, but have driven by all three and they all look great, especially Glenview. Next up to stay ahead of the green punching schedule are Havana and Mallory. Thank goodness I have to stay home for a couple of days later this week to deal with some contractors, this old body is getting a little tired working around the house, swimming a mile and a half, and playing 18 holes every day. Need to recharge the body’s battery : ) Swing on!

Strange I just called Tierra del Sol because I’m supposed to play there tomorrow. They said the greens have not been aerified or sanded and aren’t scheduled until mid June.

Played Glenview a few weeks ago. Tally Ho and Fox Run greens were in great shape. Fairways nicely cut. Hell of a difference in the way the exec's are cared for.

Sometimes I think the executive courses are given maintenance as a “second thought” after the championship courses. However, it just could be executive courses just get more play especially more “disabled stickers” with some carts practically on the greens when they are suppose to be at least 30 feet away. There is more incentive to maintain the Championship Courses.

Mallory this morning.

White tee boxes need work.
Gold & Blue tee boxes are fine.

Greens were good.

Normal Villages fairways.......................I always want more grass.

Glenview and Hacienda Hills are probably the best overall
