Our group played Kenya to Hemingway yesterday. We found all greens but one in good condition. Fairways mostly acceptable but not great. Tee boxes were ok to poor. Only one green...Hemingway #9...was poor with brown spots all over from weed killer. That same hole had long weedy grass in the fairway. Overall, the whole course is much better than a few months ago.

Played Kenya/Kilimanjaro yesterday. Greens were in good shape except for Kilimanjaro #7, which was extremely rough.

We played Kilimanjaro to Kenya yesterday and the course was OK. It was much improved from the last time we played it, in the February time frame. We did notice many greens have bad spots where they apparently removed the many weed patches. But all in all, they are making an effort. Does anyone know why there is a new green (apparently temporary) in the middle of the fairway on Kilimanjaro No. 5, about fifty yards short of the actual green?

I’ve been here for 5 yrs and Hemingway #9 has had long weeds in the fairway every time I’ve played it. I don’t play there anymore.

My only question...Why was it allowed to get so bad?

A group of us played Kenya and Kilimanjaro Monday and were quite disappointed. Why do people accept substandard playing conditions. Instead, hire a quality golf course superintendent to oversee ALL courses and develop plans to take care of the boxes, fairways and greens? If their individual golf course managers do not take pride in their work or are not up to challenge, find others who will. TV does not even remove grass clippings from boxes or greens.
