Woke up at 7. No power. Opened my garage door manually and drove to McDonald’s for coffee. 12 cars in line at the drive thru, and 10 people in line inside. You can only sit at a few tables outside, and one was occupied by a guy smoking a cigar, so, he owns the seating area.
1. The power company should be more reliable.
2. McDonalds should open the inside seating area.
3. Cigar smoking should be banned in all dining areas.
Everything is fine now. The power is back on.

Never lost power, not even durning the hurricane issues, did Seco website give you info on power outage.
Could care less if McDonalds is open inside or out, but that’s a personal choice.
I don’t smoke cigars, but I do love the smell of an expensive cigar, which I doubt was the case.
So bad morning for you, hopefully if you awake tomorrow, things will be an improvement

2. McDonalds should open the inside seating area.
The McD in Lady Lake (441) is open inside from 7 am to 2 pm only. They don't have enough workers to staff the place later in the day (like almost every other business in the country). I was just in PA, OH, and WV. Same thing everywhere. Saw a Burger King offering a $1500 sign on bonus for a manager and a Taco Bell offering $1000 for crew positions.

McDonalds isn’t the only fast food. Just drive to another McDonalds or another fast food restaurant.
Maybe you should think about getting a whole house, automatic starting, electric generator installed at your house. If you had that generator installed already, you’d be at home, and your electricity would still be on.
I’m still waiting for our whole house, natural gas, automatic starting electric generator to be installed. We ordered the generator in January, and have to wait until July for the installation. Hopefully, there won’t be a power outage before the whole house electric generator is installed!

A house on a nearby street has a generator that faces the street. When the power goes out at 7 AM, it probably wakes up half of the people on the street. You can hear it from about six houses away. I wouldn't want to live in a neighborhood with small lots where every house had one of those.

I agree, and I bought a relatively small portable inverter generator as insurance for the hurricane season. My number one concern, beside it having enough watts to start up the fridge, was how noisy it runs. Quite a bit quieter than our air conditioner units outside our homes in Mallory. We need to be able to sleep with it on. Up north I have a standby generator with a silencer etc. You can still hear it 2 doors away. Did not want something like that here in TV.

I get my McCafe from a keurig cup from my own coffee maker. Just in case I get up half asleep, I have the water already set up and only have to slip a Kcup in and push the button. I ensure myself a cup of coffee. Since you did not have electricity, you could not do that, so I do empathize with you a little bit. Try living overseas in a country where have electricity on is a novelty, not a necessity. Try living in a country where the city water is only on during certain hours. You learn to appreciate this great country and do not get excited or depressed by losing the internet or cable TV for a couple hours.

Yes, I do. No, I don't lose power very often, and when it happens, it is usually for a very short time. Not a major issue. The only negative about Pine Ridge and Pine Hills is that you are in Lake County and Fruitland Park, so you need to check the property tax for the house you are buying. Probably higher than a comparable house in Sumter County. But, the convenience of Colony Plaza and the Walmart grocery store are a definite plus. Ten restaurants within a mile or so.
