Masks are required at every indoor location. Worse than that is the the gift shops are limiting the number of people and there are long long lines at every one. I’m here for my grandson’s birthday party and arrived two hours early to pick up a gift. I may not make the party in time. Don’t come here.

No offense, but how did you not know that before you went? It's been like that for quite some time.

Disney wil relax that policy soon for certain indoor venues, but it's clear as day on their website.

Indoors they still require masks. But that is changing shortly

Same rules since Springs reopened, on the first day. Temps taken, and only % allowed in each store. They have been pretty efficient. Well Gideon’s can take awhile, but it’s worth it. We go early and avoid the lines, especially on the weekends. Now masks are only required indoors, Instead of all areas. We stop about every 3 weeks or so to have lunch and shop

Disney announced temps no longer taken and masks no longer required outside on property . At least its a start.

Day after announcement Springs was still doing temps. Since it was Advent health, they may have kept employees until end of work week. Disney itself on that day temp tents were gone, pass holder lines were minimal

They have just reported as of this week you will only have to wear a mask on transportation only. For vaccinated guests you can be mask free inside and out. If you are not vaccinated they are requiring masks.
Like everyone else it is based on the honor system. They can't ask for you to show your card so it's Russian roulette that the person next to you without a mask is actually vaccinated. We went when your first opened in August when they first reopened and it was amazing.

Disney’s corporate headquarters are in California so rules for Disney world actually are determined by California law. Why do you think Tesla is moving to Texas.

Reality-a strange concept for many. We demand simple, perfect answers. Reality is there are no simple or perfect answers. On any subject, read the posts everyone does not agree on anything. Personal responsibility. The right to choose and the right to be held liable for what you choose. Strange concept for many.

There are about to be a lot more smiles visible at the "most magical place on Earth." Starting Tuesday, fully vaccinated guests at Disney World will no longer be required to wear face coverings in most areas of the Orlando, Florida, theme park, according to its website.3 days ago

I was there yesterday. Masks optional in most places but mandatory at Disney locations. Was told by Guest Services masks required will end Wednesday 06/16/2021.
There were no long lines at the upscale restaurants. There were short lines at Starbucks and Girhadelli and a few other eateries. The only long line I saw, was at Gordons Bake Shop for the $6 cookies. And, at the Disney locations, some stores enforced and some didn't but the private locations did not enforce at all. I did not have a mask !!:MOJE_whot:

Sounds like sensible policies to me. These policies would make me want to visit, not stay away.

Disney's Covid posture in Florida is not at all controlled by California law. All businesses must follow the restrictions where they physically exist, not where their headquarters are.

Disney in Florida was open long before Disney in California.

And the current vaccines are effective against the DELTA variant...

What’s the big deal about wearing a mask? If it’s required, respect the business’s right to do that and put one on. It’s not going to hurt you to comply. .

I apologize, you are correct. Apparently, they solved the Covid54 problem in CA well before they did in Florida.

But with the recent closing for Covid19, Disney World followed Florida laws while Disneyland followed California laws. Disney World began reopening in late May of 2020 while Disneyland did not reopen until a year later in late April 2021.

Well that might be the only place that I guess you consider safe since nowhere in TV requires masks. Perhaps you should just consider not going to public places where you will be met with unmasked people if you don’t feel safe?

Why must people be so rude. It is so unnecessary to be that cavalier. There are those folks that although being vaccinated, It is recommended they are diligent of their surroundings. Many have underlying conditions. As someone said, what is so bad about wearing a mask

Be careful. Round three of virus will arrive, just a matter of time. Wear your mask, wash hands frequently, and stay away from large crowds.

Is this the website for all the complainers to chime in with what they think is humor? So far, the only actual advice I’ve gotten is……. Not really any at all. Oh and Disney has the right to do whatever they want, just like you do. Stop complaining and don’t go. Good lord. The lines are long…… they make you wear a mask……. GET OVER IT!

I never had to wait in long lines before. I went down for my grandson's 10th birthday party. We got there early so I could stop int eh Disney store and buy him a gift. I found out that I would have to wait in line in the 93 degree heat and in the sun for an hour or more just to get into the store. The line at the Lego store was shorter so he got Legos.

The rest of Florida is wide open and Disney is still covering their butts.

And I didn't look at their website. I only posted this as a warning to others who might be thinking about going down there to shop.

Disney no longer requires vaccinated guests to wear a mask indoors. Not too long ago they removed the mask requirement while outdoors. And yes, they were “covering their butts”, because that’s the responsible thing to do.

Since they reopened, they’ve made their policies known. For months and months, news stations have done stories on Disney’s policies relating to Covid, as well as on WDW’s ‘know before you go section’.

Not to pile on, but there is no excuse for any person visiting Disney to be unaware of the restrictions that were and are in place.

That's ridiculous! I'm watching baseball last night & Chicago Cubs have over 43,000 people in attendance! They're crammed in there like it's 2019.

Round three? I’m sorry but I’m done with it all. I’ve participated in the ongoing clinical study with getting vaccinated, and Halloween is over. If you choose to continue wearing a mask, washing your hands all the time, and staying away from crowds that’s perfectly fine, but please stop with the fear mongering. The vaccines are allegedly effective with the different strains and life goes on.

100% Agree. Everyone in the U.S. has had the opportunity to get vaccinated, if they chose not to so be it. We weighed the risks and due to my underlying conditions chose the vaccine, but respect others' right to choose otherwise. I'm not a risk to others at this point and based on the scientific facts not at risk around others. Time to move on with our lives. Life has never been about chasing zero risk at least not for most of us.

Really? That is indicative of a 1 in 6 chance of death. This “pandemic” has a 5% contagious rate (1 in 20) IF you are subjected to it, then you have over a 99% recovery rate (over 99 of 100).
Yet you feel that it is a death defying act to be in public, wow!
