My friend from VA was here for five days, and he is a singer songwriter. He penned a song about TVs, and here are the words. Its more amusing with guitar accompyment, but you get the idea. We hope to get it played on the VS radio station
The Villages
By Phil Julian

Welcome to The Villages, How are you?
We’re glad you could visit today
Life here is a thrill, but don’t stand too still
If you do they might haul you away

Every body drives round in their golf carts
You can pimp out your wheels for a song
Feel that power - Nineteen miles an hour
We’re happily rolling along

*They’re here to retire, and not just expire
These high-stepping women and men
They rise with the dawn, then they’re up and gone
But at night it’s a ghost town by ten

Rotaries, guard gates, and golf carts
And swimming pools just down the block
And “over -the-hills” who choke down their pills
Than go line dancing - that’s quite a shock

We’ve got yoga and swimming, ball games and painting
Or build model airplanes to fly
You can sing with your voices - there’s so many choices
You gotta keep moving , or die

You see that cross there by the roadside
That’s where my poor neighbor died
It wasn’t a wreck - the golf cart’s intact
You can find it for sale online

*Every one’s on the go , there’s so much to do
But there’s one thing you should keep in mind
Don’t take time to roam, when you’re heading home
‘Cause they roll up the sidewalks by nine
Don’t take time to roam, when you’re heading home
‘Cause they roll up the sidewalks by nine

What a great song. It is nice to hear another tune about TV. I would love to hear it accompanied by a guitar.
Please keep us posted on its progress!
