Woke up this morning to see our car, which was parked in our driveway, covered with toilet paper. Whomever did it, took their time as the paper was wrapped around mirrors, the antenna, door handles, etc. No harm done, but annoying. I walked around the neighborhood (at 6 am) and noticed no other cars had toilet paper. Probably some bored kids I guess.

Disgruntled neighbor?? Peeved bridge partner or competitor? Sore pickleball loser? Too many rumors at the pool? Too many items in the fewer than 15 line at the grocery store? Rooting for Yankees in a Rays block?

I'm disgusted too. Sorry it happened. I hope the bird of paradise flies up the perps' noses.

Sorry this had to happen. In what Village did this happen?

Salpal lists Belvedere as their Village. The Villages High School is near there but I cannot understand teens targeting a house like this unless there was some kind of beef with the homeowner. Would not take much but you would expect more houses to be t-peed if it was just a bunch of bored teens.

We live in Belvedere, no harm done really, just amazed that it occurred. Our village is close to the schools, so probably some teens with nothing better to do. We live on a corner, so we were probably picked for an easy escape. I would have rather they washed the dead love bugs...only good love bug are two dead ones!!!

We will be there. I am gonna try to have a little get together for anyone here who wants to come over to our house. I can do that twice. Twice the fun.

And back to the TP event. Isn't there someone who just hates cars parked in driveways? I am just kidding Jim Joe.:a20:

Hello All:

To those that suggest we might have someone angry at us, I doubt that. We have only lived here since June, house has been empty for nine months prior. We only know two of our neighbors and are very friendly with them. We say hello or wave to everyone else we see around the neighborhood. We live in Villas, so most of our neighbors are snowbirds and not around yet. We keep the grass cut and lawn in beautiful shape. We park our car only in our driveway or garage. We do not have any lawn oraments and obey all the restrictions. We like the restrictions.

Like I said, we do live close to the high school, so we suspect some silly mischief by kids or maybe some bored grandparents. LOL Like previously stated, no harm done, just annoying.

They probably stole the toilet paper from the school too!

The mystery has been solved....one of our neighbors fessed up! A little too much partying turned into a funny prank. No harm done and relieved to know teenagers are not roaming our streets here at night!

That is good news. A friend up here in MA recently had his car TP'd (son soccer team prank) and it rained that night. What a mess!

PS. Did you ask your neighbors if they own a paint gun? This would clear up another thread.

Do you know any kids that go to OUR schools? Sorry....that's not fair. You have only made friends with two neighbors in 3 months.
I apologize - you should try it.

joannej - Do you dislike all kids? Just kids in The Villages Schools?

Does anyone else think this post was unfair to OUR KIDS?

Hi Bombero.

I don't understand your post.

I'm with you Gracie, I don't understand it either. I didn't think Salpal was harsh in any of their post.

I had thought it was a neighbor or new friend. Cannot see teens doing this without some reason.

Where did this come from? :police:

The "unfairness" to the Villages' kids seems to come from the way some on this thread jumped to the conclusion that teens toilet papered the vehicle.

That was also my take on that post, Taltarzac. It happens a lot on his forum. Kids take a lot of heat here on this forum.

We are too quick pointing fingers. Once it starts it seems pack mentality kicks in.

Two recurring examples of jumping to conclusions:
1. First time posters have a negative agenda.
2. Failed businesses are due to Developer charging high rent.
