Birthday dinner for 20 people - Need suggestions on where to go in/near The Villages

Does anyone have suggestions as to a restaurant in or close to The Villages that would be good for 15-20 people. It's my wife's birthday and I want to cover the bill for everyone so something like Wolfgang Puck would probably be a bit extreme. It would be nice if the place had a "room" for a large group of diners.

A group of Lynnhaven neighbors went here a few years ago. There were about 16 or so of us. We sat together and the prices were reasonable. Good food.

Most of the Country Club restaurants can handle it as well as just about any restaurant in town, they all would most likely welcome a large party. Now it just boils down to cost, Lopez or Orange Blossom,

Franchesco’s on Hw441, couple miles south of Hw 42 at the far right of the strip mall. They have a nice enclosed room and reasonable pricing.

Most of the Country Club restaurants can handle it as well as just about any restaurant in town, they all would most likely welcome a large party. Now it just boils down to cost, Lopez or Orange Blossom,

I've only been to Lopez once, but we ate off to the side and didn't see the banquet area so I don't know what it looks like. We enjoy Orange Blossom somewhat regularly, and the banquet room handles parties of 15+ pretty smoothly.

Bob Evans has a room at Colony Plaza that size. Wolfgang Puk as well. Red Sauce room holds 50. Prima Italian Steakhouse in Brownwood, has a nice room

Red Sauce in Sumter Landing has a nice room in the rear separate from the main dining room. Food is pretty good, plenty of room. I been in that room for special events and meetings 3/4 times.

First, happy birthday. We had a similar size event for my wife's birthday at the Japanese Steak House in Sumter Landing. They sat us at side-by-side tables and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Once your there, stay for the music and shopping.

Glenview Country Club! We took a group of 35 there for dinner about 6 weeks ago. It was great. Food was good, music was great. We ate outdoors by choice but inside was beautiful. Service was a bit slow so make sure they assign enough servers to your group. But I’d recommend Glenview CC.

You should check out Eaton Beach in Weirsdale. The used to have a bus that would come get your group and bring you back that costs 5.00 each round trip which ensures you seating when you arrive. Give them a call and see if it’s still available. It’s a cute place on the water so a nice environment !!!

My husband had guy coming here for a week of golf. He always had dinner the last night at Palmer. They used the room that had sliding doors to close the room off from the dining area. Was a big hit. Lopez Legacy also has a couple of rooms that can accommodate your party.

My husband arranged a large event 40 people at Olive Garden for a birthday celebration in their back area. They allowed table cloths, our own centerpieces, candles, gift bags etc. Each ordered off menu. They were wonderful.
Have also used the private room at Nancy Lopez's.

Wolfgang Puck has a beautiful dining room known as dining room #2. Just had mine there 2 weeks ago. We also got a special abbreviated menu. It was just perfect as we had our own Server and attention to detail.

I would be a little worried about the level of service anywhere because of short staff in all the restaurants.
If they assure you they can get the help in, the Waterfront Inn has a really nice private room overlooking the lake.

Google: "Havana 1959" in Tavares, FL. Cuban family-owned and operated. No pre-made, institutionalized, commercially prepared, heat n serve food items. Everything made from scratch with a nice atmosphere and great prices. Your wife, friends and wallet will thank you.

catfish johnny's in lake panasofski-- they have a seperate dining area for parties, and birthday's like yours. Great perch dinners- great spot- good food at a great price, not like the villages, poor food and overpriced

Depends how much you want to spend. Ednas on the Green is outdoors, but has live music, but you could also go to Codys or Square One or any of the other mid price restaurants also.

Try Sammy's Pizza on 301. They expanded and have a large "banquet" room which can hold large parties. There's pizza, pasta, salads and don't forget to try their yummy garlic knots!

We have dined several times 'outside of T.V.' at Continental Country Club which is on the
South side of 44 close to Brownwood. Have had very good results, they have space
in the Dining Room for your group. Just as an F.Y.I.
