I do not know value of your car as scrap. Or what it would cost to transfer your car to a new used frame. Properly welding a frame requires removing the frame from the car.
I'm not looking for a used car. However, if I was I would have it inspected. Welded frame-no thanks.

I do some welding, but welding on a truck frame, IMHO is dealer or licensed repair shop work, and something I would not tackle. Please contact a suitable repair shop.

Look it up. The truck is subject to frame rust. There has been a recall by Toyota.

I had a friend that has a Tundra with so much rust that when he brought in to a dealer for the recall they said he couldn't drive it back and made him an offer he could refuse on a new truck.

He said it was cracked not rusted. Minor cracks can be welded. I would think simple inspection of frame could determine if this fixable..

Depending on where the crack is, be very cautious. This isn't the 1950's anymore; steels and designs can be very sensitive to ad hoc repairs. Only get structural repairs performed at a certified repair shop, and sometimes that is risky also!

I have a friend that loved his Tundra, but had rust and frame issues. Bummer for him that he missed a recall on it by just months, that apparently expired a couple of years ago. An internet search will bring up lots of similar stories regarding Tundra's.

I like small welding jobs, versus the ones that require long beads in tight, hot, awkward positions. Those type jobs can be 'exhausting' (sorry, I couldn't resist lol).
