How do you know it was an inconsiderate owner? Maybe it was a fox or coyote. Or a runaway / lost dog.

Just to add to your post. A lot of people bring their fur babies with them while picking up their mail. However, people are not picking up after their pets when they relieve themselves. Now, I notice when going to the Post Office a strong stench of Doggie droppings, it was over whelming... Pet owners really need to be more responsible and thoughtful to their neighbors.

The generalization is not appropriate..... please add the word SOME to the beginning of the above sentence.
