Only the slow play golf :), not like you got to chase after the ball to hit it? Kinda like bowling, if you miss nobody fault but you’re own.

Dustin Johnson lining up putts, and Dechambeau working out barometric pressure, get away with slow play every tournament.
Glad the LPGA are making an effort to enforce rules.
PGA need to grow a pair and sort out their own house.

A penalty for slow play should not be a judgement call. It should be clearly defined and applied consistently.

Dustin Johnson has made an effort, and has been successful in my opinion, of playing his tee to green shots much faster than most on the PGA tour. He did this so that he could have more time to line up his putts. Since doing this, his putting stats have improved and his overall playing time is well within the parameters set by the tour.
I do agree about DeChambeau however and I would add Jordan Speith to the list of players that take forever to play a simple shot.

shot clock in golf for ages, but usually takes effect when a rules official notices a gap in groupings.

When watching on tv in a stroke play tournament the slow play is not as noticeable as in match play or in stroke play in a playoff. When there are numerous golfers to show they can just switch to another hole. I understand looking at a putt from all sides but what kills me is after doing that some players will come up to the ball mark and take practice strokes, then place the ball and walk behind it and line it up again before putting all with the camera on them. Makes me want to scream JUST HIT IT! and sometimes I do.

Stop the discussions between the pro and caddy. The pro plays golf and the caddy carries the bag. Caddy should not read the putt for the pro or discuss which iron to hit.

Now that golf is back in the Olympics, maybe people should have to run from hole to hole! :)

All golfers must do their measuring and decision making while others are excuting their shots. When you have an open shot (especally when you are away), make your shot. Remember, usually your first thought or decision is your best. Over analyzing is generally detremental in the outcome. And most important of all....keep up with the group in front of you. Golf is done for enjoyment, and slow golf will destroy that fun.

Just like in Pro Basketball, Football, and lately tennis, the players brought the time clocks on themselves by slow play. So let it be for golf!

Just this past weekend, a female caddy for one of the pros of a ladies tour event needed to use a bathroom quick. She hopped into a cart for a quick trip to the port-o-potty. When she got back, her pro got assessed a 2-shot penalty. Neither one was allowed to use a cart during the event. True story!

It was not a caddy for one of the pros. It was Sarah Cho, a college player during the NCAA Women's Championship.
Every player in the field is informed of the transportation policy – a player “must not ride on any form of transportation during a stipulated round unless authorized” – which is in effect all season.
If the NCAA didn't penalize her it would hav been unfair to the rest of the field. A governing body cannot decide which rules they are going to enforce and which they are not.
Another player in the group, Kelly Nielsen of Kent State, also was slapped with a two-shot penalty for the same infraction, but her score of 81 was dropped in the play-five, count-four format.

What if she drops dead, they going to drag caddy off by her feet so the pro don’t get assess 2 point penalty. What stupid rule when emergency arises.

Exactly! Watching these guys have a two minute conversation about every shot is agonizing. The "Match" was awful TV, but at least they didn't have a conference over every shot, as there were no caddies.

Range finders should be banned for everyone. No one except pros need exact yardage. All the do is slow down play

And saves time - from a shot hit with the wrong club or having to search for a sprinkler head with the yardage.

Sorry, but I believe that just the opposite is true. They help to speed up play.
