Any suggestions where I can bring to fix some scratches on my car or is the dealer the best bet?
thank you!

Try some scratch remover from Auto Zone, works well unless scratches are down to the primer.
Rub and buff off.

Rub and buff off.
Rub gently. You can dilute the remover with water.

My OPINION, there is an ART to it. I would look for a name of a person who is good at it.
As far as scratches no idea what that means. Many cars the finish has a clear coat on top of the paint making it even more difficult to polish out minor scratches.

Most dealers don't do any body work. They just send it to a body shop and add a large upcharge. I have never had any luck repairing scratches myself. But, it really depends on how deep the scratches are. If the damage is significant, you may want to file an insurance claim under your comprehensive coverage.

Use a body shop. The only flaw on my car was from the previous owner buffing down to the primer.

No body shop, they will just sell you a big job. No dealer ever for sure. Just go to any auto detail shop. Do NOT use scratch remover. Just silicone liquid that fills up the scratch for a few days. Silicone ruins paint and nothing will stick to it after that and only works until the sun hits it a few days. Detail shop will lightly compound and then lightly buff/polish area. A complete fender takes only 30 minutes. A complete overall just outside detail of complete car can be had for 80 to 100 dollars even now. I worked my way through college owning my own detail shop and had about 8 dealerships as customers. Any shop can do scratches.

And if I have a tiny chip on the bumper that is down to the base? My wife is frantic

Without seeing pictures of the scratches or seeing them in person it's hard to say or recommend a course of action. I've detailed cars for almost 30 years. That being said, some scratches need left alone for fear of polishing off the clear coat which is very thin. Polish through it and you will end up with clear coat failure.
In essence, to remove a scratch, you have to polish the surrounding paint down to the level of the scratch. Sometimes that is feasible and sometimes not.
Again, need to see the scratch before giving recommendations. Be thoughtful in your choice of action.

Try rubbing compound first. And order a "paint stick" for your scratches that are too deep.

Definitely the Bumper Man. He made my 2010 mini-van look like new. When I traded it in for a 2020, the delaership couldn't believe it could look that good.

Totally agree with DBChris. This is why you need to go to Detail guy. Let them send you to body shop if need be.

I use Cole's Mobile LLC. He will come to your house. He repaired a huge scrape on my vehicle and it looks great. Got him from a local dealership. He has free time and will do the work. Call for an estimate. Joshua Cole is the owner 815.570.1270. His pricing is reasonable too.

Nu Finish Scratch Doctor that I believe they sell at Auto zone works very well on most scratches. Just a little rubbing it in and it makes a huge difference.

Another vote for The Bumper Man. He did a great job on a shallow key scratch on the side of our car and was fast, friendly and reasonable.
