I saw this in The VHA Voice, inserted in today's Daily Sun, by VHA Lady Lake representative, Lynn Davis:
"Chipotle Mexican Grill is coming to Village Crossroads where Sweet Tomatoes used to be on Hwy 441/27 ... will be opening this fall."
I confirmed that there is an application filed with the state for a food service license.

Great news for all the Villagers who frequent Cody's and consider themselves gourmets.

Don’t really see a difference between Chipotle and Moes. Nice that Moes gives free chips

Big difference. Chipotle steak is marinated with different seasonings, you can't get olives or fresh cilantro, or pickled jalapeno peppers. They also won't overstuff your taco like Moe's does.
That said, Chipotle is decent enough tasting for an occasional taco, and inexpensive.

In my opinion, Chipotle uses lettuce that has an after taste like it was dipped in a sanitizing solution. The meats taste over-processed, strangely way overseasoned. The burrito wrap has synthetic elastic properties that don't seem normal. In contrast, visit any hole in the wall Mexican restaurant with food prepared on-site by real people using traditional cooking methods and the food is incredibly better.

At Chipolte they don’t say “Welcome To Moes”.

I am thrilled that Chipotle is coming here! The food is healthy and delicious. It is a hundred times better than Moe's!
Now all we need is a Trader Joe's and a Costco.

Disagree. Most items at chipotle taste like adobo seasoning. You can have it

There are quite a few Chipotles in another state where I sometimes reside; I like their flavors/seasonings and cafeteria-style options at convenient locations with quick service and not-too-bad-prices and would love to patronize them, but the chicken at each and every location has consistently been of the squiggly/mystery-meat-looking, fatty, gristle-y & hard-to-chew variety. My incisors have never been sharp enough to break it down; I don't know how people eat it. Conversely, I loved the food and service at Fiesta Grande Mexican Grill in Colony Plaza. Not really a hole-in-the-wall, very nice ambiance IMO.

I guess it depends on where you went because in the Tampa area I wasn't impressed. I would rather go to Moe's. With that said, that is exactly why there are two competitors, everyone has a preference.

Chipotle will offer buy-one, get-one free entrees in-restaurant on Tuesday, July 6 from 3pm to close at participating U.S. locations. Since friends give friends free Chipotle, fans simply need to say “Friends BOGO” at the cashier to redeem one free entrée with the purchase of another entrée.
