The beasts of Lake Chula

We take the dog down to Lake Chula Vista many evenings and tonight I brought the camera.

I've been spotting the lurking beast on occasion and tonight he was around.

Also, one of the birds was nearby, so I caught it too...

We always make sure our Bichon never goes near the water anywhere, you never know when one of these is lurking.

Thank you. We live pretty close to the Chula Vista Rec center so it's nice having a lake. Up north, we lived on a lake and we had black bears. I think I'll take the gators, I don't need to use a bear resistant trash can down here :)
