My garage needs some storage solutions and I would love to have a work bench.

If someone is planning to leave TV or might want a bigger work bench

I would be interested to buy.

Any advice about buying new would be welcome.

I have noticed some very nice TV garages with beautiful white cabinets and everything in its proper place.

My goal is to get with the program,

Thank you

I got these from Costco. NewAgePro3.0 (https://www.costco.com/newage-products-pro-3.0-series-storage-cabinet-10-piece-set.product.100247306.html)

They also have some less expensive options. Storage Cabinets (https://www.costco.com/storage-cabinets.html)

I used a bunch of "wood like substance" (def never have a termite) cheap cabinets from Home Depot in different sizes. Not sure if they are just considered utility cabinets or just cheap kitchen cabinets. Seeing as we are in a 2/2 we needed storage space and these are holding up surprisingly well. I did "permanently" attach them to beams in the wall behind them as I didn't trust them that much! They weighed well over 100lbs each. At the time (3 years ago) they were from $80 to $150 depending on the size at Home Depot,. I know people who have used "pre-owned" kitchen cabinets that are available from various local sources. Depends on what your garage is worth to you. It gets hot in (most) garages so keep that in mind with what you put in them.

White cabinets and everything in it's proper place is far from my style. I use a heavy woodworking bench that I built years ago. Not up to what I would use or want, it is possible to find plans for a worktable that secures to a wall with legs that fold down.
Teasing a little. Don't forget you will want to get your car in the garage.

Cheap heavy, cabinets and furniture is often made from material sold under several names some are particle board and chip board. It is essentially saw dust glued together.
It often contains sand and is tough on tools. It is flat, it is stable it is not very strong.

My opinion plastic is a better option. There are cheep and better quality plastic cabinets.

I bought Husky brand steel cabinets from Home Depot over 8 years ago and they still look new. There are KITS so you have to assemble but well worth the time and effort. There were several options, work table on wheels, short wall units, and tall cabinets as I recall there may be some others. I highly recommend these. As for a workbench, I have Harbor freight unit, holding up well.

Personally never been a fan of plastic. Had no issue drilling 2 holes in the back of each. My tools survived the 8 x quarter inch holes. My back removing them from the car was another story. ;)

+1...

They are ridiculously cheap when they go on sale...

Also, check out Harbor Freight on 441, in Leesburg...

Look into Gorilla racks on wheels. You can move them anywhere you want for cleaning & more

Inspired Closets did a great job (not only on my closets but also) on the workbench and storage in my garage.

There you go.. Neighbors to the rescue.
you can also get some nice stuff at "Habitat for Humanity".
I have the workbench from Harbor Freight, and it has held up very well under a lot of abuse for 6 years.

How is the quality of these? Worth the money?

The quality is excellent. 18 gauge steel instead of 24. Drawers have quality ball bearing slides. Drawers and doors are soft closing. Might be a little overkill for homeowner use but I had two large shops at our last house. This was my consolation prize for giving all that up. lol
