We are having several trees removed (palm trees). I have heard that a company will come out and check if it will interfere with utilities free of charge. Does anyone have any additional information about that? Phone number? Thanks.

Where do I call for utilities line location before I dig?
Digging in unmarked ground is very dangerous. Call 8-1-1 for free line location service
72 hours before you dig. Within 72 hours, electric, gas, water, wastewater, cable
television and telephone lines, which are owned and maintained by each utility, buried on
your property will be marked so you can dig safely.

Just a heads up. I called prior to doing some digging and was told that it would be completed within 7 days. On the 7th day the guy responsible for marking electric called, said he was about 2 weeks behind. He did talk me through where the lines showed on his plat and fortunately none were anywhere near my desired digging.
Point is, give yourself plenty of time.
