My wife is looking for nice sports sunglasses for golf. It should be big enough for sun coverage and needs to be progressive and with transition lenses. Please share your experience with the eyeglasses places with fitting, price and services especially for sports sunglasses.

Cheers!

With our insurance, we get a free yearly eye exam and discounts on the price of new glasses.

We go to Optical Outlets for the eye exam but we found a much better choice of frames at Wal Mart on 466. We have bought three pairs there, each one costing about $260 even with the discount.

We don't have 'sports sunglasses'. Just normal sunglasses (no transition lenses) with progressive lenses that have a high index of refraction. Since I am nearsighted, the high index lenses are lighter.

I love my glasses. I used to wear contact lenses, but these new glasses are much nicer than the old ones with heavy lenses.

My progressive bifocal sunglasses were $70. Just put in your prescription and pick your frames. Great glasses.

Will be less expensive here. Try Sams club if you want a local provider,

I believe Hindsite in Pinellas Plaza can do what you want. I use clip on sunglasses so I do not have personal experience with what you are asking for, but I have used Hindsite for years.

I have used Sunglasses | Prescription Sunglasses | SportRx (https://www.sportrx.com/shopby/product_type-sunglasses.html) with good results with the glasses.

When the lenses needed replacement for a different prescription, I went to a local optometrist to have him order and insert the new lenses. Was cheaper than the mall outlet glasses

Peepers at Colony Plaza does good work, lots of choices, and pick up by or before next day.

Raybans are the best, wherever you can get them. Eyeglass World in Ocala has good prices and service.
