LOTS of supply chain problems. We ordered one from Home Depot, they said 6 weeks, we said OK. Two days before the tentative install, they called and said "oh sorry, it's not here and we don't know when it's coming".
I'd suggest you look around and find one that is actually in-stock. We bought a lower end Frigidaire at Lowes, I wouldn't advise that but it was the only one they had. Perhaps Appliance Direct, but I don't know. Best wishes

I recently replaced my dishwasher and wanted a Bosch or KitchenAid and none were available. I ended up with an LG and am very pleased so far. It is so quiet I do not even know it is running until I hear it drain!

You'll probably be forced to buy Chinese. They were the only country that actually grew their economy during Covid. Odd, huh, since they started it. Almost like they had a vaccine they didn't bother to mention.
Oh, well...
I would never buy anything but Whirlpool/Kitchenaide if I had a choice. Besides the rock-solid reliability, they're ridiculously quiet and they have the silverware in the door where it should be, so it doesn't take space from the dishes. And they aren't made in China (yet).

We are replacing all our appliances with Bosch, had them in PA so we were sold on their products. The dishwasher is due in November. We purchased from Aggressive Appliances because we wanted a company that didn't sub out install and service and stocked parts. Also took out extended service contracts to cover costs after warranty.

Just as a heads up, Bosch has about 120 different SKU’s in dishwashers and due to Covid are only producing approx 50. The average wait time time from order to delivery is 4 - 7 months. This is primarily due to supply chain issues mostly related to computer chips that are required to operate the entire machine. Also as a FYI average for lifespan of all dishwashers is 6 years - Bosch is still averaging over 11 years.

We recently got a Kitchenaid dishwasher from Home Depot when they had a Memorial Day sale. At our lake house we have a Whirlpool. Both are good.

You will have a problem with deliveries from everywhere. Bought a patio set in April and was told delivery wouldnt be until the end of June. I agreed to wait. Three days later, I get a call saying now its the end of July. I doubt they didnt know that when I purchased it. Again, I agreed to wait. Delivery date was today. Now its 8/5. if it doesnt arrive on the due date now, Im cancelling my order and just keeping what I have. This is Rooms to Go.

We have a Bosch and a LG. The Bosch is quieter and the LG emits musical tunes (if you don’t like that — avoid). Both models were highly rated. Bosch still makes the quietest DW across its product line but other manufacturers have quiet models as well. If you wish to learn more about relative “quietness” here’s a good article that explains how they measure it among dishwashers and recommended noise thresholds. Also, some good quiet models like a GE are mentioned. Supply issues are the unknown variable that box stores can look up in their data base. Good luck.

We had a bus going back twenty years because they were the quietest at the time. Sound is measured in DB levels the lower the better. We liked it a lot and then we moved we ended up with KitchenAid it lasted 4 years. ? The Bosch brand now made in America and you can feel good about that. KitchenAid owns most other brands besides LG and they have prices. After owning the most expensive how are we went to Appliance Direct and bought the cheapest under 300 horse with the stainless front well it's noisy which I knew but I'm happy happy on the cleaning. I figure if it breaks I'll just buy another cheap one and I won't bother with the repair guy

I recently bought a Kitchenaid. It was all that was available without a wait. It does a great job and I'm very satisfied with it.
I also had to buy a new electric range and ran into the same problem. Got a Frigidaire and absolutely hate it. Again, it was the only one available or wait over 30 days w/o a stove.

:ohdear:why is sound the only evaluation of a dishwasher, and not the quality of the clean dishes, the time to clean, location of the utensil holder, and the amount of water used?

We have a one year old Samsung, the ‘best’ model offered by TV at the time. We won’t buy another. Top two compartments clean well, but lower one is, to put it mildly, lacking. Have to set the unit to Heavy Wash just to get a decent clean. Even then, larger pots still need attention (and we rinse everything before loading!). Good luck!

I ordered from Bosch dishwasher from Lowe's. It was in within 4 weeks. Fortunately, you can get by without a working dishwasher for months!

I have a Bosch, Samsung and recently purchased a Hisense from Lowes. I was skeptical but needed it immediately and it was in stock. I was told by the salesperson that they actually make a lot of the dishwashers for the name brands. It was on sale for $500 and additional for installation. It was in stock and took about 2 weeks. I am VERY PLEASED! It is very quiet and is stainless steel inside. Most new ones are plastic inside. I did get the Lowes warranty out of fear of this product but probably didn't need it. Best of luck.

If you can get one Bosch is rated one of the best. If you can wait order one.

Another vote for Bosch. Clean and quiet. Searching for a critique... the regular wash cycle takes over two hours. Maybe why it cleans so well.

We have a Whirlpool that was original with the house, built in 2003. Works well every night. Quiet enough that we close the bedroom door and never know it is running.

My sister lives in Desoto she bought a Bosch and you can’t even hear it run. Get an extended warranty because there are few qualified repair people here! It’s a great machine make sure it’s connected properly !

Whirlpool is just awful my dishwasher and was supposed to be upgraded is loud does a lousy job and it never dries completely the cycle is too long. And no I don’t stuff the washer ! Maytag Bosch LG will work better ! Everyone knows you don’t wait until you move in to order you place a deposit 2-3 months in advance never ever pay up front.

I've had a Bosch for about 5 years now. In researching before buying it, it was rated as the quietest. I can attest to that. It even has a tiny red led light on the bottom of the door which shines a red dot on the floor so you know it's still on. Cleans very well too. You get what you pay for. Personally, unless the current machine was broken, I'd probably go on the waiting list myself.

Just bought an LG dishwasher. All dishwashers seem to be in short supply. Only way to know is to go into the store or look online for availability. Note that dishwashers come in different heights. Our space required less than 34.5" Many are 34.5 (too tall for ours) or 36".

I am a reliability freak. We replaced all our kitchen and washing appliances with the most reliable brands in each category. So our items don't match exactly. One company can build microwaves but their refrigerators stink. By far Bosch was the best at building dishwashers. Works slightly different than other brands, I might add. We like it. Quiet but takes 2h 30m to do a wash if that makes any difference to you. We start ours at 11 PM. Does not hold as much as the builder's GE brand. If you wash wine glasses, bring one to the store to see if you can stand it up in the top rack. Some dishwshers fail this test. Be careful of some review sites, they are made by manufacturers or distributors. Read the feedback comments on Home Depot and Lowes. Consumers Report has some informative repair history. Again each brand makes one appliance excellent and the rest are poor quality. Odd.

Worth the wait. The silverware rack at the top is the greatest. I also have a Jenn Air in my other house, which is outstanding too but the bosch top silverware rack is better.
Thank you for all the responses. I really lucked out. I went to Lowes yesterday after posting this and there were 10 of the model Bosch that I chose in the Orlando distribution center which the salesperson said could easily be snapped up within the hour. I made a snap decision and have the new dishwasher delivered this morning but now need to find someone to install.

I've had many dishwashers over the years. By far, I was really impressed with the Bosch. Not such a familiar name in the appliance departments but wow, was it terrific! So quiet, cleans really great, and very modern appearance. Easy to understand how to use. I would replace my current Whirlpool in a heartbeat if it ever breaks down to needing a replacement. We had gotten ours at Lowes. If you have other appliances through them on a current warranty policy they can give you a better deal on multiple appliances, even if they are not the same company manufacturer. Miss my Bosch!

I bought Bosch from Best Buy about 6 weeks ago, had a 1 week wait. I’m in Louisville KY, maybe I just got lucky. I wish the industry would make long lasting, quality products. I would gladly pay more to get 15-20 years use & avoid irritating life interruptions.

website AJ Madison. Free Delivery. Stuff is always in stock. Excellent Customer Service. Hands down this is the best dishwasher you can buy. I'm on my 3rd in my 3rd new house. Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer Series DD24DAX9N I has 2 drawers and I alternate between using the top and bottom and you don't waste water by running a large dishwasher when you only have a few things. If you do have a lot then run both at the same time. So quite you can't even tell it is on.

I feel your pain Girlcopper. We ordered a patio set from a place in Fruitland Park(can’t recall the name). Ordered in May 2020 expected delivery sometime in Aug. Well Aug, Sept, Oct came and went. Kept telling us they had no idea when our set would ship from Sarasota, FL as mfg. was waiting on the wood like stuff to come from China. We got our furniture right before Thanksgiving. This surely tried our patience. Our furniture was a special order and if we cancelled we would have lost our money. I guess we could have asked if we could buy something else in stock but we didn’t. Hang in there and good luck!

We bought a different house in The Villages in February and decided to replace all of the appliances. We had recently replaced our dishwasher in the "old" house with a Bosch and really liked it but were told by a few retailers that it was basically impossible to get Bosch dishwashers at this time. We ended up going with an LG unit that matched all the other LG appliances we were getting and it has so far been as good and quiet as the Bosch had been (which was WAY quieter and more effective than what had come originally with the house).
