For an Old fashioned Diner experience (with a walking opportunity afterwards) go to Ducks Dam Diner in Moss Bluff on the Ocklawaha River - if you leave there hungry it's your own darn fault !!

In Belvedere, you are very close to Metro Diner (Belvedere to left on 466, down the road a few blocks on the right). We like their food and selections.


Or you could follow 466 the other way to 441, turn right & go up the road to Rae Rae's on the right (our personal favorite.) It's true they only take cash, but there is an ATM in the diner.


You can call ahead and put your name on the list. Top notch ingredients.

Billy's charges $2.99 for coffee, and they have the smallest eggs I've ever seen. But my friend loves their potatoes. I'm a grits fan, and I think their grits are mediocre. But their servers are very friendly.

I still vote for Rae Rae's.

I find that the food at Bob Evans is salty.....no matter wherever I travel, when I stop at a Bob Evans, it's salty. Darrel's is one of my favorites. You can even get grilled homefries with onions instead of the "french fried homefries" that most restaurants serve. Billy's Cafe on 441 is very good, as is Perkins in Spanish Springs on 441. Denny's on 441 is ok, but not great. First Watch and the Flying Biscuit have an eclectic menu. ........too much "foo foo" stuff added to the food that I don't care for. I'm a bacon and eggs and homefries or pancakes and ham kind of guy.

We searched around when we first came here and found Perkins to be the best. We tried the pancakes and coffee at a few places as a benchmark and agreed we had found the best there. Plus it's BOGO on Wednesdays if you join their email club.

For my money:

1. Billy's on 441 for omelettes. I get the vegetarian omelette substituting spinach for broccoli. It's enough for two breakfasts. I love their hash brown potatoes but I get sliced tomatoes. Their apples over pancakes is also very good. Billy's is close to my house.

2. Darryl's for blueberry pancakes.

Rae Rae's omelettes are good but from where I live, it's a bit of a ride. If someone lives around 466A, it's fairly close.

My son loves First Watch but it's not my favorite but you got to keep the troops happy. I feel it's on the expensive side. IMHO

Someone told me KeKe's makes enormous pancakes. Never been there to comment on their quality. FWIW

The BEST anywhere near the Villages!! I'm a lover of breakfast and picky! Dam Diner has NEVER disappointed. I do like Billy's but not everything on the menu. First Watch is very good for a more "upscale" experience. Keke's for the pancakes!!!

Depends upon where you live in TV. If you are near North/Spanish Springs area, Billy's is highly recommended. Only complaint is they serve too much food especially their home fries. If you order a blintz get the small side. More than enough for 1 person.

I disagree. My husband and I totally love First Watch and he has their eggs Benedict (poached eggs) on a regular basis. Prices are a little higher, but ingredients are fresh and nothing is premade and much more variety to the menu than standard eggs, potato and meat breakfast.

I agree with you about First Watch's food, but I think the inside ambiance is meh, and the outside can be very windy.
For ambiance, we like one of the country club porches, especially Palmer, where you can sit under cover but outside and look out onto the golf course. The food isn't quite as good as First Watch, but it's decent.
