Google Maps voice not working

I use Google Maps on my Android phone.

The voice feature stopped working a few days ago. I tried every troubleshooting guides I could find, but it still doesn't work. I can't even uninstall the ap and install a new one.

Is there someone or somewhere I can get this fixed?

I imagine you have already tried shutting the phone off then turning it back on.

Is your phone connected to some bluetooth device in your home or car? Have you tried disabling bluetooth to see if google maps audio works then? (this is a problem I have with my iPhone)

I wouldn't know how to correct a phone that is so confused that it won't allow you to uninstall the app.

I had that problem once on my iPhone. I changed the voice from the default voice and chose a different one. The new voice worked. Then later I checked the original one and it worked also. Can't explain why, but that was the last thing I tried and it worked.

Add Waze to your phone and see if it works. It’s another Google product and better than maps

They were an Israeli startup (2006) that was bought by Google in 2013 for $966 Million...
