We used them. The owner who is a licensed Arborist is highly professional. He was on site. We have extensive landscaping with about 15 palm and other trees and shrubs. Best job ever. Big equipment.

I phoned and got someone at Tree Frog. They told me they're booked up for months and not taking customers. If you find someone, let me know please.

We used Tree Frog a few months ago. We were scheduled a few weeks out but they came earlier because they finished another job sooner than expected and ours was a relatively small job. Very happy with the job and would highly recommend them. The owner, Kanani Morris runs a good operation. We’d use them again if the need arose.

He is doing a large job for us next week....he is not cheap, but you get what you pay for when it comes to doing it right with palms, so he is the man for the job for us. I researched extensively and have waited for him to become available to have this work done.

I realize this is old, but in mid-2012 Diamond Tree Service removed 9 queen palms for us. We were naive northerners, thought queens were so pretty, and had them planted in 2005. I fertilized faithfully each quarter and they grew lush and big...and bigger, etc. Eventually we tired of the maintenance required. We were nervous about the removal as one of the trunks gracefully curved toward our house and another toward a neighbors house - didn't want them crashing into either house. Diamond definitely knew what they were doing and there were no problems.
Their phone is 352-245-1206. They're located on US 301 in Summerfield, near the intersection with CR 42. The gentleman's name is Torger (? spelling).

If Tree Frog is not taking new business right now, can anyone recommend another arborist? We have a couple of trees in need of pruning.

I used Tree Frog since moving here in 2017 he and his crew did great work, expensive but good for 3 years. In early 2020 he did not come with his crew, they showed up alone and did a terrible job. This past winter, 2021 I wanted again to have my palms trimmed and the seeds removed and although I contacted him in December to do the work in late February when I called to get the date he said he was out until late April and was not very nice on the phone. It's a shame, I paid him his price for quality work all along and then he shoved me in the back of the line. He is no longer a dependable person and I would not recommend him.

Make sure you have permission to remove your trees
My neighbor used them for removing very large palms and replacing them. Very professional. They provided a wrap for the new shrubs that slowly released water. He highly recommends them.

We just used Tree Frog and are very happy. They are professionals. The owner is an ex Navy Seal, hence the name. His crew is professional and well worth the money. He’s more expensive but you get what you pay for. Just be aware that he is in high demand so you may have to wait awhile.

Very Good. A bit pricey but worth to avoid issues with TV.
Kanani Morris - owner
About Palm Trees - get rid of them, you will be amazed.... NO MORE BUGS.
Also Palms are considered grasses so you can chop them down, no permit required.

I used Tree Frog a few months ago to cut down three palms, two grind below ground and one stump. Owner was on site. Workers used safety equipment and highly professional. I had five estimates. They are not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. He also donates a portion to the Navy seals. Owner was a seal and also is a certified arborist. They did things other company estimates did not do. Like boarded my lanai glass windows, tarped the yard and nearby bushes to catch the shavings and contacted all the utilities before you dig. Their clean up was so good would not even know any work was ever done. My palms were also surrounded by a circle of bricks and rocks. He removed all of that and laid new sod. Did an excellent job of leveling out the yard and the new sod has grown beautifully. You can’t even tell I used to have trees there. I highly recommend them but you will have to probably wait as they’re in high demand.

It has been a few years since we used Tree Frog to take down two big queen palms with fronds that were touching our roof. We were happy with his work.
Those trees had required too much maintenance to trim and to get rid of seed pods that seemed to sometimes grow huge overnight.
When we bought the house, we knew nothing about palm trees.
In the beginning we were hiring a trimmer that our neighbors used. But when I saw him shinny up the tree with a battery operated chainsaw RUNNING! I knew those trees needed to be out of our lives before somebody got hurt.
By that time I had also learned that palm rats live in queen palms. I had not seen any so far but I did not want to.
When taking down big trees, I think it is important to have someone who knows what they are doing, takes safety precautions, and is properly insured.
I was surprised at how much shade those big, tall palms had been providing, but I am still glad they are gone.

I used Tree Frog last year for a very large oak. Excellent job, neat, efficient, with all the safety equipment properly supervised.

As everyone else has said - you get what you pay for with Tree Frog. Tree Frog is probably the most expensive but also the most professional tree service we've encountered in The Villages. If you want the job done "right" then Tree Frog may be the one for you. If you want the cheapest price then look at one of the myriad other tree services in The Villages.
Airborne is another tree service that has top notch equipment/cranes for large tree removal. I've not used them but I have seen their work in our neighborhood and I've been impressed.

We have one of those "cone"-shaped trees. They're all over TV, put in by the developer in people's yards. Most are kept trimmed in a cone shape, as is/was ours, but it has gotten a bit tall--about 20 feet. We called Tree Frog. He doesn't know what a cone tree is, and we don't know the real name of the tree. Anyway, he wants $500 to trim it (it needs about six inches cut off of it top to bottom), even though he doesn't know what kind of tree it is. Does anyone know what kind of tree a cone tree is? I think if Tree Frog knew what tree it is, his price might come down. Last month we spent $600 to have a 30-foot palm cut down and the stump ground (not by TF). I'd rather have the tree taken out than spend $500 for a trim.
TF's time frame was September 29.

Yes, we have used Tree Frog on two occasions in the past. I had two palm trees which appeared to have a disease/insects of some sort and we were looking for the best way to treat them. Kalani (so-called arborist) could not give us a definitive answer either time! Pricing for his services is, in a word, outrageous! I'd consider others before you proceed with Tree Frog.

I thought someone mentioned here once that if you contact a Palm nursery, they will buy your Palm and remove them for free. Am I mistaken?
Cheers!

I have used Kanani Morris and his Tree Frog Tree Service to remove a very large Washingtonia palm and to maintain my very large Southern live oak. I highly recommend them. You get what you pay for.
