I would appreciate some "Village Wisdom" on local upholstery shops. I have some small work needed and I have identified three local vendors: Aurora's Upholstery in Wildwood, Lake Upholstery in Fruitland Park, and Solivan Interior in Fruitland Park. Has anyone had experience with any of these, good or bad? Perhaps you have a good recommendation for another vendor.

I would appreciate any advice given. Thank you!!!

We had a chair done by Superior Upholstery in Ocala.

You can find reviews, on the internet for most any business. When, I do this, the first thing I realize is I don't know who or what these people are. Reality is the same is true of people in the villages unless I know someone and then I would directly ask them.

When, I read the often used term,"small work," I read that as I do not wish to spend much. If, you can move the piece, perhaps, it would be wise to take it to the shop and ask for an estimate. Any business, will, must charge you to send a person to your home
and to move the piece to their shop.

I used Lake Upholstery about 8 years ago to cover two cornices and make some pillows. Excellent work. I did not investigate any other upholsterers because a decorator at a very respected furniture store in the area told me Lake was the best.
