Learning to golf? [Archive] - Talk of The Villages Florida

Hi all,

When I move down to TV, are there opportunities to LEARN to play golf? Never had the chance to do it up north, but it is something that I'd like to learn (in addition to archery)

A buddy of mine took the "New to Golf" week-long class a couple of years ago as a complete newbie to golf and really enjoyed it and is an avid golfer now. My wife finally decided to give golf another try after not having played for 35+ years and she too signed up for "New to Golf". She signed up at the pro shop at the Sarasota Executive Golf course but I know they offer it at other pro shops in The Villages as well and it's offered pretty much every week except those weeks with holidays in them.

Would recommend to all not just newbies, some not all need refresher course in etiquette, just saying!
