For those of you interested in how they construct those BIG TV towers here is a link showing the construction of a 1500' tower in Deland Fl.

This is from the ground. The yellow tower that you see on the left of the tower as it is being built is called a gin pole and it moves up the tower as it is built. The gin pole is the actual crane that hauls up the tower sections to the top. A tower this size the the workers will ride the ball at the end of the cable up the tower to the work area. I am not sure if it is OHSA legal to do that but I have seen it done.
