Tuesday at afternoon around 2:30PM: To the very VERY angry and nasty woman who yelled at me from her car on the way out of the new Starbucks drive through on 466A for having my feet up on the table at the outdoor seating area: You're absolutely right! My apologies. Got a little too comfortable and forgot where I was. Travel with a big bottle of sanitizer and wiped the table down thoroughly for five minutes. It's now cleaner than your mouth! Again, you were right. I'll be more conscious next time.

Very nice of you to apologize. Personally, unless this woman owned that Starbucks, I would have told her where she could put her comments, she doesn't get to tell anyone what to do in an angry fashion. Most people would respond better to a polite request to remove their feet

Related story: I was in checkout line at a Dollar General. Guy in front of me had his money in his sock. Cashier gave him the total and he put his foot up on top of the counter paid for his stuff. Then she gave him his change and he put his foot up on the counter again to put his change in his sock. Real classy.

Not the one who yelled but I can see Karens point. The ground is a cesspool of germs that your shoes get to walk on all day. Putting them up on any furniture inside or out is just plain gross. I don’t allow my grandkids to put their shoes any where but the ground especially when they are in a restaurant they are not allowed to put their shoes on the seats in any fashion.
Thank you for wiping it down before you left

There's something wrong with putting your feet up on an outside table?? I wouldn't expect an outside table to be 'clean' enough to eat something directly off the table. I've seen people sitting on outside tables and placing all kinds of things on outside tables. Someone's feet on a table would be the least of my worries.

The best ones are the ones that put their dogs up on the tables. Yep you not only get to eat where their little feet have walked in pee and poop but get to eat after they have there little butts on the table. These people should be yelled at.

I believe she needs to back off her coffee intake and chill out a bit.

Agree. She had no idea what kind of nut job she was confronting, could have ended badly for her. And that's not to mention the attitude that she thinks she has the right to "instruct" others. I don't condone putting feet up on a table, but I'll stand my my earlier post that this "Karen" would have gotten an ear full back from me. Nothing like a self-appointed etiquette policewoman.

Oh how I agree with that. Yes, many people consider their dogs as their children. Well….theyre not! I dont want to eat where their dirty butts have sat and their pee infested feet have stood. Please keep them on your lap if you feel theyre so clean.

Besides giving her my feedback for yelling at me, I would have posted this incident but would have included the persons car color, make, model and license # or at least state so others would know who I’m talking about. I did this at my last home when somebody was driving way to aggressive and I wanted people to be aware. Many people responded and knew exactly who it was and the driver also saw all the threads on how people thought of their driving

People who carry briefcases, backpacks and purses often set them on the table in public places and on the floor near table, chairs urinals, and commodes. Not much difference than shoe on the table. Then there is this:

It was nice of you to apologize. I would like people to realize that they should exhibit some courtesy to others. Did you ever see people let their dogs sit on restaurant tables and in shopping carts where kids sit and where others have their food? The dogs don't have diapers on and it's definitely not sanitary. Why do they do it?

Sometimes, people who act irresponsibly, rudely, un sanitarily, and selfishly need to be called out. I called out a young man recently at the Orange Blossom pool after he, not once but twice, spat on the tile where people walk. There are too many self entitled people here as is evident every day when people leave their grocery carts all over the parking lot at Publix and Walmart.

I don't do Starbucks because of the flavor of the coffee. I like Turkish coffee and I like Dunkin's coffee -- two extremes of strength. Starbucks always has a burnt taste to me, and the cost of a cup is high.

Then again, I must be an outlier as they seem to do well without my support.

You did the right thing & apologized, but I agree this lady had no right to curse you out, it just shows that this lady was probably brought up this way. If you would of said she didn’t curse you, it might been an “Atta Boy for this Lady”. I only say that because with the Covid being more contagious, your shoes could of been very contagious. I don't even know the story yet, but.....your feet up on a table where others are going to eat??? Are you kidding me? Your dirty bottom shoes resting on the edge of it??? No way!! Who are you? So many older folks down here complain that the "younger" ones have such a sense of entitlement....well this takes the cake!!
You could of walked thru dog poo and not known.
I would of been majorly upset also.... whatever was said....was well deserved.

I cursed 2 women this morning when they conveniently pretended they didn’t see their dog poop and started to walk off and leave it there ! I have little tolerance for bad pet owners. I watched them they stopped let the dog do his business thought no one was paying attention . Then started with excuses when confronted I called BS . They probably didn’t like it but just like this woman made an impression. Bet ya don’t put your feet on tables in public again. Hopefully they will pick up their dog crap from now on too!

I kind of doubt that it happened like that. Maybe he was sitting on the table and he had a really prominent "plumber's crack".

We have to take what we read on this forum with a grain of salt.

He is new here. Maybe he is a kid and didn't get along with his grandmother, after he brought that girl home with the tattoo that said...."Go Michigan". You have to investigate the motive behind some of the ....uh.......unusual posts we read Doc.

People who are legally licensed to carry a weapon have a lower crime rate than police officers. The person carrying a concealed weapon who isn't licensed is the one to worry about. In a lot of cases they have a felony criminal record and aren't legally able to carry or possess a firearm and they don't care about violating the law or hurting other people.

Down through the years there have been a few incidents in TV where a licensed gun carrier pulled a gun on someone and threatened him. Most of them were road rages inside TV, although one was someone pulling a gun on his neighbor's landscaper.

I would not respond to some enraged person in this day and age, no matter how right s/he or I was. Calling them out on TOTV is a lot safer.

Seriously....get a life people! Hard to believe that people can be so uptight given all we deal with about the little stuff. What does it matter in the scheme of things???? Pick your battles.
Please tell me you're not condoning feet up on a table !

I commend you for your owning up to being wrong with putting your feet on the table and for wiping it down with sanitizer. I once saw a man put his dog on a table at Publix where customers and employees sit to eat lunch. When he left I told an employee about it and they cleaned it off. I wonder how many times that has happened and no one told an employee about it so they could clean it off.

Surprised people that mouth off don’t consider the other person might be packing heat. Really dumb to do so

If they shot someone for yelling I hope the idiot gets a long jail sentence.

Not in this area. Hope is not a strategy. Look what the guy who killed the woman in the golf cart got for a sentence.

Partying at City Fire he picked up a woman at the bar. Too much to drink and he hit a curb with his cart. She fell out and hit her head. He dragged her and left her body under bushes.

This happens all the time in every state in the U.S., not just Florida.

Related story: I was in checkout line at a Dollar General. Guy in front of me had his money in his sock. Cashier gave him the total and he put his foot up on top of the counter paid for his stuff. Then she gave him his change and he put his foot up on the counter again to put his change in his sock. Real classy.

Weird, Dollar General is usually very classy.

It's really disgusting to put your feet up on a table, in public no less,, And with your dirty shoes on. Your apology was nice, but please don't ever do that again. Thank you.

Thank you for wiping it down before you left

that's right, & it might have messed up the bird doo stains already there, :1rotfl:
