Most that I have seen are 24 inches, however I use a stud finder to see where they are exactly.

24", 16", or wherever they decide to place them....seriously.

It's really shoddy construction if it's any more than 16"OC, even with 5/8 sheet rock.

Most are 24 inches apart, but you really need to locate each stud.

Thanks. My stud finders (two) say the two studs are 26 inches apart where I want to hang a television.

I just mounted my 65 inch TV with this: Amazon.com (https://www.amazon.com/Echogear-No-Stud-Wall-Mount/dp/B07TKCLL2N/ref=asc_df_B07TKCLL2N/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=366299657667&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10369894277714751498&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1015231&hvtargid=pla-810717760700&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=74513439085&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=366299657667&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10369894277714751498&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1015231&hvtargid=pla-810717760700)

And used this to put the wires in the wall.

Head down south and find homes under construction... one that looks like your model with metal studs. Measure those and it's probably same for your house.

Another reason to learn Spanish...me thinking load bearing walls 16 in on center and non-load bearing walls 24 inch.... we grew up with all walls 16 inch centers But in Florida codes can be changed with one thick white envelope!

They are random maybe depends if in a weight bearing wall. Get a good stud finder then use a small finishing nail to determine if metal or wood because not only distance is random but so is material. I've found both in a lot of walls.

Are the studs metal or wood?

I own two block and stucco villas, both built in the 90s. The older one is wooden studs on interior walls, the newer one is metal studs.

The wooden studs are 16" on center, the metal ones, are a mix of 16 or 24. It seems like they put them 16 on center in small sections of wall an 24" on center in large spans.

On the block walls, both have 1" foam batts over the block with furring strips at 24" on center.

I also have done work in several homes built in the early 2000s, all metal studs, most are 24" on center but again, it's a mix, depending on the wall.

Interestingly, the plate(the flat board at the bottom the studs attach to) has been wood even when there are metal studs. Also, in kitchens with metal studs, I've found a wooden nailer running horizontally about 6 inches down from the top of the cabinets as a cabinet attachment point.

The standard width on the wallboard is 48 inches and there needs to be a stud behind the joints on the wallboard when it is installed. Therefore, the standard spacing on studs is 16 (3 x 16 = 48) or 24 (2 x 24 = 48). My home in Indiana has wood studs and the stud finder that I used to find those studs did not work on the steel studs on my home in The Villages; but, a simple magnate finder did work.

Looks like a nice and easy design. But, it doesn't appear to offer any tilt adjustment. Some people tend to mount a television too high, so it helps to use a mount where you can tilt the screen downward.

Interesting system, but from what I've had to deal with in hanging simple picture frames and discovering the drywall used in these homes is some of the poorest quality (crumbles like dry dirt) I would NEVER trust a few tiny nails to hold a TV.

My house, don't know about any others, all walls that are 8 feet tall are wood studs 16 o.c. All walls greater than 8 feet tall are metal studs 24 o.c.
