On Sept. 11 from 8-10 a.m., downtown Tavares will be having a celebration in honor of Patriot Day. Patriot Day honors the memory of the nearly 3,000 innocent people who lost their lives as a result of terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. This year is the 20th anniversary of that tragic day.
