Cover up tracks for sliding glass door

We have enclosed our lanai and added a mini split system for AC so we leave our sliding door open at most times. Has anyone had a carpenter install a wood cover (removable of course) to help people navigate the step down?

The only safe way to do that is to raise the lanai floor.
