Wondering if he still is around. Left a VM for him this morning ~9AM and never got a callback. I understand he usually responds very fast so maybe something is up. It's not an emergency, just don't want to keep waiting or keep calling if he isn't around. No mention of vacation on his VM message.

Thanks everyone. Will wait after holiday weekend. I just realized he could be away for Labor Day weekend. Totally forgot it was this weekend already. Time just marches on way too fast. :D

I used to use him all the time for my garage door issues. Last time though he was very sour and surly acting. I think the job must be getting to him. Decided to move on to someone else.

Would you please share who you are using and if you were happy with your choice? Thanks!

Called him last week. He returned my call in 10 minutes. Came by about
30 minutes later and took care of the issue. $55 service charge was it.

Don't see that kind of service anywhere these days.

Everyone has bad days, could have had family issues or the heat and humidity got to him.. He was here 2 weeks ago, was his usual talkative self and did another great repair in a matter of minutes. It wouldn't bother me if he was sour or surly as he offers great service and knows exactly what he is doing.

I called him a couple of weeks ago. He came over that day and fixed the problem - no waiting for parts. It was a broken spring. He was professional and pleasant. No problems. I'd use him again.

I called him about a week ago-his message said he was not working today. I left a message. He never called me back, I called a few days later & he said he'd be right over. He seemed "erratic/hyper", he was talking very fast and didn't let us get a word in. He said that our garage door was junk and he wouldn't work on it and he left. Very strange experience.
We ended up googling and fixed it ourselves.

He quoted $800 for a repair. Had another person look at it for 1/2 the price and threw in an extra remote.

I called him(he was recommended by a friend) to replace my garage door opener. He called me back, and said he didn't do openers anymore, as he's too busy?!

Time just marches on way too fast. :D He called me today ... says "I only fix broken garage doors." End of conversation. LOL, Sorry I asked! :) I guess when you are good at what you do it doesn't matter. :D Oh well ..... on to the next.

Know anyone who does general maintenance on doors? Track realigned, cleaned & lubricated?

He makes good $ only replacing springs.
Mine cost $225 installed. Took him about 1/2 hour. Springs cost about $100 for two.
If he did 8 spring jobs a day he makes $1280.
Of course, there is overhead involved also.
