If you mean a twosome using a single set of clubs......no, each player needs their own set of clubs

buy a second bag, put 1/2 of the clubs in one bag, and 1/2 of the clubs in the other bag.
good luck

Unless you and your partner are not great golfers, one will be on one side of the green/fairway, the other on the other side, and you both need a pitching wedge.
Or putter.
Once or twice, okay,
i wouldn’t make it a habit. Get a second set of clubs.
Find them online, cheap,

The executive courses aren't very strict on this rule. Seen it happen lots before. But usually happens for one round. Not for every time golfing.
But you should be able to borrow a set for your partner.

Both can't hit at the same time so this shouldn't be a problem...

There is nothing in the rules preventing you from playing from the same bag, just that you each need your own bag in the cart.

There is a 14 club rule , if your playing in any kind of tournament you would be DQ’d if your playing match play loss of holes for all played with more than 14 clubs . No borrowing.
If your just goofing off you will slow play and cause a backup .

Forget the bag, just take a six iron and a putter. Good Luck.

Guess you didn't see post #2 huh?
"Each player "must have" their own clubs and bag"
Seems pretty strait forward to me

Two players can play out of the same bag but can have only 14 clubs which includes putters. If both of the players have a favorite putter then 2 putters and 12 clubs max.

Why would you want to share your clubs in the first place? No you cannot do that buy your own set right size to fit your height etc

I hope nothing like this gets started where 2,3 or 4 people start sharing clubs. It’ll ruin golf in TV.

No kidding. One guy 6 foot 4 sharing clubs with someone 5 foot 2. Yeah. That will work out great!:1rotfl:

Your spot on and we don’t need more slow play. Used clubs and a bag for a beginner golfer are relative cheap. Make the small investment…

I tried that once and was told NO! Now I have a 2nd bag for friends and family who visit.

I don't, but people of similar heights can use the same clubs. . and the poster was asking, so yes, it might slow down play, but it might not. . . a really lousy player can slow down a round more than sharing clubs, but then every lie like every player is unique
There are rules, and there are exceptions, and if someone wants to try out golfing once or twice with a friend, no big deal. . no one's world is going to implode.
I do not recommend sharing a bag more than once in awhile, splitting clubs. Yes, even the golf channel recommends playing a course with half a bag to learn how to adjust yourself to the club and the situation. So that won't slow down play. . .
good luck

As a starter ............one set of clubs per person or you don't play period!! And it has happened that I've sent "players" back to the golf shop for a refund. TOO BAD!!

Play is already slow on exc. courses why suggest that it is ok to play out of one bag. If you can’t afford used clubs, stay home.

I think the second bag idea is a good one. If a friend or relative wants to try out a game of golf as a one shot deal it’s cheaper to buy an old golf bag than a whole set of clubs and bag. This should only be a one shot deal, nobody gets hurt.

You’re right but when someone is a foot taller & tries to share clubs it just goes to show you they know nothing about golf & shouldn’t be on any golf course. You made a good point!
