Probably will not make it IMHO. But I hope they prove me wrong.

It will be woke and unwatchable just like everything else Hollywood is expelling right now.

A lot of the new shows look like they might be quite good. I have loved N.C.I.S. since it started and enjoyed Hawaii Five-0.

Might show a bit of aloha spirit. I look forwards to it.

Funny comment about the “woke” idea, some prefer the “sleepy” way. Brainwashing anyone?

They did seem to want to make the cast as diverse as possible.

I enjoyed the first show though of N.C.I.S. Hawai'i.

Both excellent and both ones we still watch, NCIS LA not so much which is why I'm not hopeful about anything newer.

I liked last nights show I’ve spent many winters there, the last one being before Covid . Woke ???? Well I guess by portraying the spirit of being multi cultural that Hawaii celebrated then you would be right. I only watch the first ncis gave the other 2 some viewing but there was so much shooting that they seemed more like cartoons same with 50 , this country could be much better off if we followed the spirit of harmony with nature and people that one of our most beautiful states celebrates

We too have been fortunate in having spent quite a bit of time on the different islands of Hawaii. While some people have reported not having a good time due to the treatment by some locals, in the last 40 years I've seen where the islanders have watched their home and other prices rise so much that they have no choice, but to have multiple generations living under one roof. Given that the ability to expand to cheaper land, like most places here on the mainland, doesn't exist on the islands, I think that would tend to make me a bit grumpy also. As for NCIS, I've also occasionally watched the spinoffs but, for me, it really boils down to the fact that there's only one Gibbs to go around. lol

I wasn’t just talking about families , I’m also meant the whole color scheme of people which makes people look at someone beyond the color of ones skin , it’s not perfect but it’s better then many parts of USA , can’t say I’ve had much unpleasantness there , I do tend to mix more with the locals though after much of 40 years outside USA I consider myself a member of the human race that comes from USA ,I’m very bored today waiting for a chair to be delivered lol

I understand and agree. I should have added that I/we have always had a great experience, as we try to spend a lot of time with locals and have become friends with quite a few of them over the years. BTW - I'm jealous on the new chair. LOL

Better than NCIS New Orleans. Thus, it will probably make it. Watched NCIS, surprised Gibbs still does not use a wheel chair.

Hawaii 5-0, the new one, was my favorite show. Still upset they took it off.

I believe the star who played Steve McGarrett had various injuries he received while filming and had limited his commitment to the series at 10 seasons.

Didn’t care for the Hawaii version of NCIS, nor did I care for the spin-offs of CSI, which is apparently being rebooted. To me all the reboots just show how starved for originality Hollywood has become. It’s the lazy way out; take a past successful show, make the new cast as diverse as possible, and throw in current computer technology. Yawn.

I used to love the Chicago franchise shows by Dick Wolf of “Law and Order” fame because they gave me a glimpse of home, but they’re wearing thin. All his shows seem to have a meta anti-cop message running through them at some point.

I didn’t like it for the simple reason that I thought the acting wasn’t good

I'm almost home-bound (not due to covid but physical issues) so watch A LOT of television. I used to watch the original then went on with the off-shoots but that was short-lived. Too much of the same-old, same old and as another poster said NOT much imagination. Take that over to the Law and Order (I like crime shows if done well) franchise. Binge-watched SVU during the lock-down but got weary of it. When the new season began, decided to give it another shot (the 2-hr "special" was tedious IMO) then went on to the off-shoot one. Decided it's too dark for me so won't continue. Doubt I will with the SVU too. It was better, early on---but again my personal taste.
I no longer remain faithful to the 3 networks anymore and their prime-time junk. I'm finding I like the British police shows, their dramas too PLUS old re-hashing of series from years ago that we watched in our youth. They're lighter and funnier...again my opinion.

The British and German shows do seem better if you like the Masterpiece Theater type of show. More character development and less sex and violence.
