Soooo glad we have a fully stocked bar in the house. I have around a quart of coffee liqueur, almost a full bottle of banana rum, another nearly-full bottle of coconut rum, and over a quart of normal white rum. Plus a bottle of spiced rum. Plenty of whisky and bourgon for hubby - and enough brandy to make a couple gallons of sangria (I'll need the red wine though).

Love your thread title :coolsmiley: I know it's actually a serious issue, "supply chain" problems. It's happening in every facet of commerce. For the past few months in many states there's been a shortage of bottled water, not because water is scarce but rather the bottles themselves due to "Covid issues". I don't know if that means exactly.
My daughter's in-laws ordered a motor boat months ago hoping they'd have it to use this summer but no dice. And they had no ETA either. Likewise, my sister ordered a fountain for her patio and they said it would be there in six weeks. Well, it more like nine and counting. Forget about getting anything repaired or getting contractors to do work for you and if they do, their prices are outrageous because they know they have you over a barrel. Some of this is legit but it's also people taking advantage of "Covid" as an excuse to raise prices and ditch their previous customer service standards and practices.

We have plenty of 'stuff' here in UK. but a shortage of truckers to deliver it.
Maybe a mutual exchange?

In case anyone didn't get it, apparently the moderators do, this is a dark humor joke. I should have posted it in the joke forum, but oh well.

If bottles are the problem, I am willing to go together with other folks to buy a cask of bourbon - to be stored at my place of course!

Yep, I visited my brother in the hills of Kentucky last month and brought back a nice supply of the "white liquor", but their prices have gone up a little as well. Guess it's getting harder to bye gallon bottles of water now for the jugs....

I have been surprised that 2 people that came to the house to do something were not vaccinated and neither are their families - they were 30 or 40 ish. One was going to measure the floors and started to walk right in no mask and didn't say anything. I guess I'm back to acting like 2020 since phizer is below 60% after 6 months.

That's one shortage that I will not notice. Although, there will undoubtedly be a few more angry seniors added to the masses here in TV land. Probably see less of the regulars dancing in the squares when they run dry. Some of the regulars won't have the bug killing alcohol to rid them of possible covid infection so they better run out and get vaccinated. Better to have the vaccination side effects than living through their DT's. Better stock up on mouth wash before the alcoholics run out of their liquor stockpile.

I'm covered no matter what. I got the first two jabs, PLUS I make sure to ingest lots of alcohol when I go out.
By the way - there's this really neat-tasting coconut majito at Ay Jalisco. I tried that yesterday. Very tasty, pairs well with chips and salsa :)

Sigh...
