I really would like to have 2 more mailbox keys as we were given 2 when we moved in , but my key seems to always be on the keychain I'm not using at the time.
The keys say "do not duplicate". Can someone tell me how to obtain a couple more?

Go to the post office in Lady Lake (not the one in The Villages). I'm not sure if they'll allow more than two keys but they might. You might want to give them a call first to see if you can have more than two keys.

We just went through this today. Go to the post office in Lady Lake (across from Spanish Springs in the CVS area). They actually re-key your box instead of making a new key. They gave us 2 new keys today and the postman will leave the 3rd key in the box when he re-keys it (on Tuesday). The cost is $15 and you still only end up with 3 keys but it's the only way to have an extra key. Anyone still wondering why the post office isn't profitable?

They not profitable because of all the great perks and service they provide in a prompt and courteous manner.

Thanks, I'll do that, 3 keys are better than 2.

I searched the forum for "mailbox keys" and found this thread.
This post is somewhat off the original subject of the thread,
but here goes. We sold our home in TV and during closing
we were told we had to pay (again!) for the mailbox keys,
even though we returned them. Equally puzzling is that we
had to pay for our gate access cards (again!) even though
we returned them as well. What is going on here, are TV authorities
double-dipping by charging for returned, undamaged keys and
access cards? Or has anyone else encountered this? We did
not use the official TV realtors. Still scratching our heads
over it. I was expecting a refund of the deposits we originally
paid. Now not only does that look unlikely, but we had to pay
to return the items which we previously paid deposits on! :faint:
Hopefully someone can explain how it works....
