I'm looking for a Cardiologist without a strong accent, easy to understand, and who has time to listen to me, instead of talking 90 mph and trying to see as many people as possible in one day. Any recommendations?

Stay away from Citrus Cardiologist group. The office staff is horrible, waiting since August 20 for a reply, about a procedure that was postponed. The doctors may be five star, but ….. can’t get an appointment or any communication from the office staff.

Dr Georg Couturier of Village Heart and Vein. They used to be Heart of the Villages in Spanish Springs. They are located next to Lowes off 441. Excellent doctor and office. 352-674-2080.

Another vote for Dr. Couturier. I've seen him yearly for the past several years but my husband sees him more frequently. His staff and office are very responsive. And his associate, Dr. Inamdar, specializes in electrophysiology (as in arrhythmia), I believe.

I totally agree about Village Heart and Vein, but also want to give a vote for Citrus Cardiology. We’ve been going there since 2012. The doctors are superb and very honest. They spend a lot of time explaining and answering questions. If I were the person who could not get questions answered regarding my procedure that needs to be rescheduled, I would leave a message for the doctor’s nurse and let them know I NEED to speak with someone regarding my upcoming procedure. That all this stress is not good for my heart.

Dr nitza however does not do operations if needed . she has a great bedside manner however. She will refer you to someone that does but if I'm going to have a cardiologist I want someone that I can trust to do their own work on me. Also after my last heart attack I was told I would need a pacemaker hi everybody and when I went into the hospital found out I'm for my heart was not damaged nearly as much as they said it was and Medicare would not pay for the pacemaker so just discharged me after putting me under and putting me through this stress

He found something that was not right in a test that he did, scheduled a procedure (angioplasty) found 2 arteries 75% clogged and the “widowmaker artery” was 90% clogged with calcium deposits, Dr, Tom Tempira did the procedure and drilled the calcium artery and it’s now clean, 3 stents and I am in great shape. Recommend this practice highly. Everyone in the practice is pleasant and real nice, and normally on time.

I vote for Dr Alvarez. She has kept me alive, and kept my heart ticking since 2012. I wouldn't go anywhere else. She wrote the book comparing women's heart problems and mens heart problems called "Heels & Ties."
Another vote for Dr Georg Couturier.

Ditto! Stay away from Citrus Cardiology. Left a message with the scheduler. Three days later no callback from them. Called again. This time they said said they were too busy! Too busy for a callback and or too busy to see him? Quickly called our regular Primary doctor who referred him to my cardiologist. Village Heart And Vein. Another vote for Dr. Couturier.

LOL, you couldn’t of said any better! Same thing when you call some businesses. I’ve already had to hang up on them because I could not understand a single word they were saying. As a matter of fact the last several time I made calls in the last 2 or 3 months every call was a foreigner, some I could understand & some I had no idea what they were saying. These businesses must of got them for a dollar an hr. Sorry I can’t help but I’m guessing 95% of heart Drs. in TV are foreigners. I went to Dr. Garcia, he’s Spanish but you can understand him because he talks slow & pronounces his words very clearly & never in a rush to get to his nexted appointment. Good Luck!

I have been very happy with Dr Georg Couturier. He takes his time, really listens to you and explains things thoroughly. His staff is also impressive. They have always been very friendly and courteous and seem to truly enjoy what they do, an attitude you don’t always get at some practices.
