Flying out of MCO airport for 10 day and was wondering if it is better to drive a park or take a shuttle to the airport.

I always drive park car shuttled to terminal then when return pick up at terminal and depart for home.
When I have used shuttle I’m on their timetable departures and returns.
Parking fees are between $3.95 to $8.00 daily

If you are only one use the workman shuttle. Lower price , less hassle unless you like driving. Parking 6 to 10 dollars a day.
See Orlando Airport Parking from $3.95. Compare MCO parking lots, reserve and save big. (https://www.cheapairportparking.org/mco)

Went to MCO Saturday to pick up son . The airport garage was full and people were parking anywhere they could, grabbing there bags and going to terminals for flights. Do not know what happens to illegally parked cars.
Reason for posting is to suggest you plan ahead, If you don't like surprises.

I use Orlando Airport Parking - Discount MCO Parking Rates (https://www.thefastpark.com/airport-parking/orlando-mco)
Your car is safe and secure. You keep your keys so nobody drives your car. Every parking space has a roof over it blocking the sun. The shuttle to and from the airport runs every ten minutes. $8 a day.

We do the best, rent a car for 1 day turn it in at the airport, on our time. Pick up a car for 1 day rental on the airport no shuttle, return to TVG. Average cost is about $120 bucks total.

Call me.crazy but renting a car both places and turning them in doesn’t sound so convenient when you can be picked up at the door and again at the baggage exit coming home by any number of car services here for around the same price go Red Sox

We use Fast, Park, and Relax. Each parking spot is covered. They pick you up at the back of your car, load your luggage, and deliver you to your airlines at the terminal. When you return, they do the reverse with the exception of giving each flyer a cold bottle of water on the way out of the parking lot. If you join their web site, you get free days based on how many days you park with them. We have used them numerous times and never had a single issue. The shuttle driver will wait for you to start your vehicle. We've used them for several two week vacations.

when I lived 15 miles from the air port in Ft Lauderdale, I'd use the park and fly, no brainer....Orlando is too far for that.
ask yourself, do you really wanna go find you car and drive 50+ miles home after dealing with all the BS of flying
if yes, then park at the airport

If you were a Member of the Unique Travel Club you could fly out of the Leesburg Airport just minutes away from The Villages on your schedule direct to your destination with no connecting flights or layovers.

Groome is a nationally based airport shuttle service.
Its 33 dollars per person, each way.
door to door, brand new vehicles
cost wise, they are prob a push with your car and parking, but very convenient.
they have a structured schedule with 12 trips daily.
if you factor in your gas, tolls (around 20 round trip) and 10 days parking, the most convenient is groome, picked up at home dropped at the terminal, vice versa to return home.

Is it necessary (or advisable) to reserve a parking space at the long term airport lot?

From what I understand Workman shuttle picks up at the TV squares, not your home. To me that is a hassle.

Laurel Valley MCO and the Way app was convenient and cheap recently. $38 for 6 days. But basically depends on length of stay and number of people if cost is your major concern.

For a few extra bucks, Workman will send a taxi to pick you up at your house.

It’s less then an hour ride to airport whether you use car service or drive ,a hotel stay to catch an airplane from the villages WOW !!! I get the earliest flights out my feelings are you can always rest when you get there , car service every time best way to go and I liked the guy that was talking about fly first class or your children will , same reasoning for car service

Park at the Rennaisance Hotel or the Marriott....right across from the airport.
They shuttle you over to the airport every 30 minutes or so. Takes 5 minutes.
Need NOT be staying at the hotel.
Call for a parking reservation. Very reasonable priced.

Workman picks up and delivers directly from/to your home. It's easy to schedule home pickup/delivery on their website at the same time you reserve the shuttle. I've used it for all my trips.

Dave's Airport Transportation is really wonderful. They are a fully insured transportation company that will pick you up at your house. You and your party are the only ones in the car. No hassle pick up and then drop off right in front of the door at the airport. No worries about finding a place to park, hauling your luggage onto a van, and getting to the gate on time. They disinfect the cars between riders and drivers and require drivers and riders to wear a mask. I highly recommend Dave's.

Go to this site: Way.com. This site has good prices and they use hotel parking lots for your car. Only downside is you have to shuttle on a van to and from airport to your car. They are usually very prompt
