Saw six dire wolves in Westeros. Grey Wind, Lady, Summer, Shaggydog, Nymeria and Ghost.

The La Brea tarpits are fascinating. My grandmother took me there when I was five years old. I was there 20 years ago and was amazed at the number of dire wolves that had ended up in the tar.
