Our movers damaged the wood top of our desk and we need someone to repair it. Has anyone had experience with someone local who could sand and refinish it?

Most movers use Furniture Doctor in Ocala; however, there are several local furniture repair services listed in the Daily Sun Service Directory. Did you file a claim for the damage?

I did submit a claim and they asked me to get estimates from local people. It's such a small job I'll probably have trouble getting anyone to come out.

One of the ads in the Service Directory is for a TV resident. You shouldn't have much trouble getting him to give you an estimate.

Check with The Villages woodworkers shop. It is my understanding that they will make the repair for a donation if you would care to. The members there are incredibly talented. Good luck.
