There was nothing in the Daily Fun about yesterdays accident. The one where a vehicle (golf cart?) drove into a building and airflight was summoned.

Pooh....Ya gotta find out. Tell them you are a reporter ....You can do it!!

I'd try, Gracie, but I wouldn't have a clue where to start! Something about the cart accident could show up in tomorrow's paper. The incident today? I don't have any idea where or when it might show up. I know bad things can happen in any location, I'm always saddened about injury or loss of life. This community is lovely and without much crime or horrific accidents. Just tough to see two incidents in as many days.

Maybe you may eventually find it published in the Sun under Police Blotter listings. Sure sounds serious....b

I don't think it would be natural causes if the heading is "Violent Crime".

I don't think so if the heading is "Violent Crime".

I thought so at first too but then I read..
MECHANISM OF INJURY UNKN WITH FATALITY

How would they know it is a violent crime if the mechanism of injury is unknown. Makes no sense to me. I guess I am a picky reporter.
If they know it is a violent crime, then they must have some idea what the mechanism of injury is..
gunshot, stabbing, blunt force injury, .. something..

I suspect the violent crime statement might be in error.. just a guess. TV is just too beautiful and safe.. I think a mistake on the report is more likely.

Years ago there was a body of a 40-something man discovered in a back yard by the lawn service. The DS did report the finding of the body, but nothing after that. I'm still curious about that one.

Or maybe some guy called in and said "I just killed an intruder", but didn't say if he shot him, hit him over the head with a nine iron, or stabbed him.

I would bet that the guy in TV who's wife shot him while he was in the shower last year would probably not agree with you. Anything is possible.

Oh no, it's distressing to read of possible violent crime in TV. This limited information sounds as if a fatal injury occurred, but perhaps the instrument that was used has not been identified.

For those of us not there, please keep us posted as new info is available. I hope it's all a mistake!

Not sure how or why, but someone has most likely passed. Could be natural causes, a fall, a suicide, we just don't know. Not sure how the caller told the dispatcher what happened or seemed to happen.

I've got to stop reading that incident page, I've got to stop reading that incident page, I've got to stop reading.....

That link is only for Sumter County. There are two more counties -- maybe they have links, too?

There are. Bkcunningham1 posted all the links just a bit ago. Here's the others..... Lake County, http://www.radioreference.com/apps/audio/?ctid=350 Lake County has audio.

Marion County,

I noticed that when opening the incident site you can drag your cursor &click on the county that comes up so you don't have to have separate links for each of our counties.

Thank you. I never tried that....so much easier!

Also, it appears that the counties in light blue are without audio feeds. Those in dark blue have feeds. Interesting!

Nothing in today's Sun and surprisingly nobody on TOTV who was aware of the incident.

I haven't figured out how these incidents get recorded on this site. Is it done by LEO/EMS types or radio afficionados who listen to scanners then type onto this site?

Nothing in the Leesburg, Ocala or Orlando papers. I am wondering if it might have been an untimely death that was over reported at 1st.

Apparently the information is supplied to the web site by a group called IPN who monitor police and fire radio traffic. This is what I found on their site:
"The IPN dispatch team sends out alerts on newsworthy police, fire and rescue incidents once an incident is confirmed by a public safety professional on the scene. Such incidents include working structure fires, major traffic accidents, SWAT team call-outs, search & rescue operations, plane crashes and more."

Some counties have a live audio feed....specifically, Lake and Marion. If you launch the audio, you can see who's responding and and hear the progress of the call.

Sumter County had a live feed but there was so much static that the person providing the feed, removed his scanner from the web page.
